Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, the Brand Manager will manage key brands in our portfolio and be responsible for digital marketing.

This role will play a key role in executing brand strategies specific to the United States and Canada.

Schedule

Monday-Wednesday in-office

Key focus areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal & External Brand Champion: Leverage excellent presentation and storytelling skills, passion and energy to be the primary advocate for the brands internally (management presentations, sales meetings etc.) and externally (e.g. in front of key customers, PR events etc.).

· Lead day-to-day business management to keep brand team moving at a fast-pace & executing best-in-class work

  • Play key role in annual brand planning process including program ideation, innovation research, pricing and volume recommendations, etc.
  • Develop short- and long-term innovation strategy for brands and oversees the execution/go to market strategy of all new product introduction
  • Manage innovation & packaging related tasks from start to finish in partnership with Project Management, winemaking, and procurement teams
  • Support Marketing Director in evaluation of all marketing activity to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity and help the organization understand how activity builds long term brand equity
  • Key role in the management of all outside agency initiatives in support of the brands' business objectives including, but not limited to, advertising, media, experiential, programming, packaging, and public relations agencies where applicable
  • Shared responsibility for the delivery of volume, share and profit objectives consistent with overall brand strategy, with P&L accountability for bottom line profitability
  • Leadership of brand business analysis efforts.
    • Continuously monitors business and brand health performance using internal and external data resources to identify issues and opportunities to drive both brand development and volume performance, and to deliver actionable insights.

o Maintain deep knowledge of competitive set status including innovation items, pricing adjustments, marketing programming, etc.)

    • Developing actionable insights from depletion & scan data on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Acting as internal liaison with cross functional teams
  • Develop brand assets and related marketing materials including digital media campaign, in store POS, tasting room materials, etc.
  • Represent brand at events including at the tasting room’s consumer and trade events
  • Lead budget management for the brands (reconciliations, recommendations, invoice processing, etc.)

Requirements (Education & Experiences)

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; Master’s Degree a plus

· 6+ years of brand marketing experience, ideally in consumer product goods or alcohol industry.

· Understanding of the 3-tiered distribution system and a passion for and desire to be immersed in the wine business.

· Passion for building brands, including new-to-world brands, and proven track-record of breakthrough consumer advertising, retail activation, and media execution.

· Excitement for creating completely new brand positioning, consumer articulation and strategy for new-to-world brands

· Proven success partnering with sales teams & mobilizing to achieve business goals.

· Able to mobilize agencies around an inspiring vision and focused briefs/feedback.

· Experience working with syndicated data sources (Circana/Nielsen) including pulling & analyzing data

· Business acumen and strong analytical skills with a proven track record of utilizing trend analysis and quantitative data to produce actionable insights, financial and P&L understanding.

· Think like a business owner – someone who can take initiative and get things done while having fun in an entrepreneurial environment.

· Experience managing significant budgets.

· Ability to travel within the US, Canada and occasionally internationally.
