Job Summary

 

As a Brokerage Operations Specialist at Opendoor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our real estate brokerage activities, contributing to a seamless experience for both our customers and internal teams. You will be a subject matter expert, handling complex transactions, resolving escalated issues, and driving process improvements within our brokerage operations.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

* Manage and oversee complex real estate transactions from contract to close, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and best practices.

* Act as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for escalated operational issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.

* Conduct thorough reviews of transaction documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal and internal requirements.

* Collaborate closely with real estate agents, title companies, lenders, and other external partners to facilitate smooth transaction progression.

* Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within brokerage operations, proposing and implementing solutions.

* Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

* Assist in the development and documentation of operational procedures and workflows.

* Utilize and maintain various real estate software and CRM systems with a high degree of proficiency.

* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for brokerage operations, identifying trends and contributing to reporting efforts.

* Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, market trends, and technological advancements relevant to real estate brokerage operations.

 

Job Qualifications

 

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* 5+ years of progressive experience in real estate brokerage operations, transaction coordination, or a related field.

* Proven expertise in managing complex real estate transactions across multiple states (preferred).

* Deep understanding of real estate contracts, disclosures, and legal requirements.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency with real estate CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), transaction management platforms (e.g., Dotloop, Skyslope), and G Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.

* Ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving business processes.


What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in real estate brokerage operations and compliance • Active real estate broker license with current BIC status in multiple states; 5+ state licenses strongly preferred, with expectation to build toward 10+ over time • Strong understanding of state and national Fair Housing and real estate laws • Expertise in electronic forms platforms (ZipForms, TransactionDesk) and e-signature software (DocuSign, HelloSign) • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple regulatory environments
