JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst, under general direction, is responsible for analyzing, identifying, and owning operational initiatives and ensuring efforts are focused on business critical, business improvement, and financially beneficial activities. Job duties include collecting all operational initiatives. With the input of leadership, this role will determine the prioritization of initiatives, taking into account the company’s goals and ROI. Job responsibilities also include creating succinct business requirements for our application and analytic teams and creating ad-hoc financial and operational reports as-needed. Job requires providing executive-level status updates.
This is a remote position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a remote position.

We employ comprehensive screening and verification methods. Any attempt at application fraud or misrepresentation will be identified and lead to immediate removal from consideration.

This position requires a proctored Excel assessment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage business analyses, scalability, and driving fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems
  • Collaborate with Finance, Business, and IT Teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting
  • Own and manage multi-departmental initiatives and work with project coordinators and internal teams on progress. Report to management.
  • Set the prioritization of initiatives based on ROI organizationally and financially
  • Create detailed business requirements, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions and have a thorough understanding of key performance indicators
  • Create requirements for analytics to aid in the creation of actionable dashboards
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses. Assemble and summarize data to support operational decision making and develop and/or improve processes and financial reporting.
  • Resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Additional responsibilities that would correlate with the growth of the company.

  • Strong financial acumen, technology, analytical, and communication skills; seeks out inefficient workflows and processes to increase departmental productivity
  • Self-driven with minimal supervision. Works Independently but also a Team Player
  • Able to create project plans, business requirements, testing grids, and reports with minimal guidance
  • Able to own multiple cross-departmental projects that span a few days to months
  • Able to guide teams to successful project launch and post-deployment support
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills
  • Able to adapt and work in an open, fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Extremely organized, action oriented and deadline driven
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA/HITECH compliance and confidentiality

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics or MIS strongly preferred
  • 3 years working with Excel using complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, dashboard development, data modeling, reporting automation, and large dataset analysis.
  • 3 years of project management experience in a business/healthcare environment
  • 3 years of business analytics/informatics experience in a business/healthcare environment
  • Highly Proficient in MS Outlook, Word
  • Experience working in Hospital Utilization Management, Case Management, CDI and Coding, and Revenue Cycle Operations
