Business Development Analyst - Auto

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary + early-stage equity

Backed by 8VC, we're building a world-class team to tackle one of the industry’s most critical infrastructure problems.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Business Development Analyst to support our go-to-market efforts and help drive commercial traction across the automotive vertical. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of strategy, sales, product, and market intelligence.

You’ll be an early team member helping define how Fabrion brings its platform to market — identifying new opportunities, crafting ROI cases, driving outbound research, and supporting partnerships and deals with OEMs, Tier 1s, and global manufacturers. You’ll work closely with our CEO and CTO to analyze top-priority customer pain points, translate them into product insights, and help structure high-ROI engagements.

This is a unique opportunity to help build the commercial foundation of a category-defining company.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research strategic accounts across the automotive vertical

  • Develop ROI models and commercial proposals to support POCs, pilots, and enterprise deals

  • Track customer priorities, procurement initiatives, and supplier ecosystems to identify entry points

  • Analyze competitive landscapes and benchmark Fabrion’s product positioning

  • Craft and refine executive-level materials (decks, briefs, one-pagers) for customers, partners, and investors

  • Support end-to-end business development cycles: from initial outreach and discovery to proposal development and follow-ups

  • Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate analysis, communications, and execution

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

  • Experience in the automotive industry, particularly at an OEM and/or Tier 1 supplier, is a must

  • 2–5 years in business development, sales, investment banking or management consulting

  • Exposure to B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or AI platforms preferred

  • Experience crafting decks and financial models that influence executive-level decision-making

Mindset:

  • Strong analytical thinker with sharp commercial instincts

  • Clear communicator — structured, succinct, and persuasive

  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and moves with urgency

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Energized by building from scratch and wearing multiple hats

  • Curious about AI, industrial transformation, and global manufacturing

Bonus:

  • Experience at a high-growth startup or venture-backed company

  • Advanced proficiency with GTM tools like CRM systems and modern sales enablement software

  • Ability to speak or read German, Japanese, or Mandarin (bonus for global industrial use cases)

Why Join

  • Work directly with the founding team at the most formative stage of the company

  • True ownership — equity, influence, and the ability to shape how the company operates

  • Front-row seat to the building of a venture-backed, AI-native startup

  • Mission-driven team solving complex data and AI challenges with global impact

  • A culture that values velocity, clarity, and trust — with plenty of room to grow as the company scales

If you’re excited to partner directly with the founding team to shape the culture, rhythm, and success of a high-growth startup, we’d love to hear from you!
