About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Lead to enable high-value AI compute use cases.

This is a hands-on, 0-to-1 role with significant influence over strategy, positioning, and early revenue. You will report to the Head of GTM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape Hammerhead's commercial strategy and build a prioritized go-to-market plan.

  • Build and own the pipeline from initial conversation through technical discovery, solution design, proposal, and commercial close.

  • Track macro trends in AI compute demand, GPU supply dynamics, power constraints, and data center deployment models. Translate signals into strategic moves.

  • Work closely with product and engineering to shape requirements, deployment models, and technical messaging based on direct customer feedback.

  • Help build the GTM playbook: sales collateral, case studies, competitive positioning, and objection handling frameworks.

Qualifications
Required
  • 7–10+ years of experience in technology and infrastructure focused business development, partnerships, or strategic sales, with a strong concentration on the infrastructure side of compute (cloud, data center, GPU/accelerator ecosystem).

  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder technical buying processes across infrastructure, platform, and business teams.

  • Ability to toggle between strategic planning and hands-on execution. You are comfortable building from scratch in an early-stage environment with no existing playbook.

  • Excellent communication skills with both deeply technical and executive audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Preferred
  • Experience with power-constrained infrastructure, grid interconnection, or energy-aware compute scheduling.

  • Prior work with hyperscalers, GPU cloud providers, neoclouds, and other inference infrastructure providers, or large-scale AI platforms.

  • Familiarity with data center economics: power contracts, infrastructure financing, PPA structures, and colocation pricing models.

  • Experience at a hyper-growth startup (Seed to Series B stage) in AI infrastructure, data center, or energy technology.

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline.

What We Offer
  • Make an impact. Solve the AI power bottleneck and shape how data centers scale sustainably.

  • World-class team. Join AI, cloud, software, and energy experts — backed by advisors from Microsoft, CoreWeave, Groq, Dell, and Digital Realty — in a collaborative, low-ego environment.

  • Build from 0→1. Influence strategy, GTM, org design, and customer engagement from day one.

  • Competitive pay + equity. Stock options let you share in the value you help create.

  • Comprehensive benefits. Medical, dental, and vision.

  • On-site in Redwood City, CA preferred.
