About the role

As Sporty continues to grow internationally; we are looking for a Communications & Growth Partnerships Lead who will drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across Africa and LATAM. This role sits at the intersection of channel optimisation, localisation, and commercial partnerships. This role will own our regional communication channels (WhatsApp, SMS, email) and build strategic marketing partnerships to scale our brand footprint and user base efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Deal Execution: Identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact marketing partnerships across Africa and LATAM to drive low-cost user acquisition.
  • Campaign Execution: Plan, execute, and track regional activations, including strategic out-of-home (OOH) billboards, payment provider co-marketing, and affiliate networks.
  • Commercial Vendor Management: Source and onboard new communication channel partners. Manage existing Bulk SMS, email, and WhatsApp vendors to ensure high delivery rates and aggressive cost optimization.
  • Performance Lifecycle: Own and optimize the performance of WhatsApp, SMS, and email channels—tracking delivery rates, open rates, CTR, and conversion metrics.
  • Campaign Alignment: Integrate transactional and marketing communications with broader product launches, brand campaigns, and automated lifecycle journeys.
  • Data & ROI Tracking: Establish clear KPIs for all owned and partner channels. Continuously analyze data to measure ROI, iterate on messaging, and report performance to leadership.
  • Market Adaptation: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to localize copy, creatives, and campaign mechanics to fit the cultural and regulatory nuances of each market.
  • A/B Testing: Run continuous experiments on messaging tone, timing, and channel mix to determine what resonates best in specific regions.

  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience working across multiple regions and cultures
  • Comfortable to travel for local activations and market studies in existing and emerging markets for sporty
  • Data-driven and execution-focused mindset
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
