Summary/Objectives
The Sales Intern will gain entry-level knowledge and experience in the RJ Young Solutions and Sales Process. The ideal candidate will be a college student prior to graduation, who is eager to gain experience in B2B selling. This Intern must demonstrate a desire to learn and absorb product, service, prospecting, and sales knowledge while growing their ability to help Account Executives penetrate their markets. Throughout the internship, they will have the opportunity to sell, research, prospect, and present to clients alongside Account Executives and Sales Management.
This is an hourly paid position, and the intern is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, depending on availability.
Essential Functions
50% - Marketing and proactive outreach
25% - Client and product research
15% - Face to face selling and presentation with partnered Account Executives
10% - Administrative support
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
RJ Young hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; more defined hours will be specified between the intern and management.
Travel
Minimal, within the local office’s territory
Required Education and Experience
Applicant must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
