Who We Are

We’re on a mission to stop the most dominant cyberattacks on the planet.

Petra Security runs an AI-powered platform to protect SMBs from account takeovers. SMBs spend over $100 Billion a year on cybersecurity and are facing increasingly sophisticated and frequent attacks. Business Email Compromise attacks (BECs) have exploded, rising 141% y/y, largely driven by AI phishing. They have become the #1 way that businesses lose money to cyberattacks. Petra detects more attacks and responds faster than any competitor on the market, while also triggering fewer false positives.

We’ve grown very quickly, reaching mid-7-figures in ARR in a year. Over the last year, we’ve established ourselves as the best-in-class solution for account attack detection (check out our research). We already protect over 2.5 Million users across 10,000+ businesses. We price premium, yet have extremely low customer churn. Our customers consistently tell us that Petra is the best product they’ve ever used. You can see a demo of Petra here.

This is a rare chance to join early and help scale to $30M+ in revenue in the next 12 months.

Our founders are YC W24, and ex-Abnormal Security, Palo Alto Networks, and Bridgewater.

What You’ll Do

You’ll build pipeline at industry events, and keep it moving between them.

  • Own Petra's tradeshow motion: attend MSP events and conferences 1-2x per month, work the floor, and come home with qualified meetings and new relationships

  • Organize and run roadshow dinners and field events to deepen relationships with MSP partners

  • Follow up relentlessly after events to convert conversations into booked meetings for the AE team

  • Fill the gaps with outbound (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to keep pipeline moving between events

  • Work closely with the AE team to refine messaging and improve handoff quality

What You Bring
  • 1-2 years of BDR, SDR, or outbound sales experience, ideally in SaaS or cybersecurity.

  • You're comfortable at events. You can work a room, start conversations with strangers, and follow up the next day.

  • Proven track record of handling high-volume outbound (calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • You’re extremely organized. You track your activity, know your numbers, and follow up religiously.

  • Bonus: You’re familiar with the MSP channel.

How You Show Up
  • Cognitively sharp - You learn fast, ask incisive questions, and speak your buyer’s language from day one

  • High energy - You bring it every day, especially at events

  • Competitive - You want to be at the top of the leaderboard

  • Resourceful - You figure out how to get in the door, even when it's not obvious

  • Coachable - You seek feedback and apply it fast
