Company Overview

At Rollstack, we’re transforming how businesses share and communicate data and insights. Organizations worldwide rely on slide decks and documents to make informed decisions—yet preparing these materials often consumes countless hours. Rollstack fully automates that process.

We help some of the world’s leading organizations—from mid-sized innovators to public companies like SoFi, Zillow, and Whirlpool—automate their reporting and presentation workflows. Headquartered in New York, we are a remote-friendly company backed by Insight Partners and YCombinator (Airbnb, Dropbox, Stripe, Reddit, Doordash, etc.).

Our team operates with speed and focus to deliver outsized impact for our customers. We approach every challenge with curiosity and first-principles thinking. We’re a diverse team that believes intelligence and kindness go hand in hand. Our persistence and rapid execution define us as a category leader and a future generational company.
About the role

We are looking for a high-energy, resilient Business Development Representative to serve as the engine of our growth. This is a foundational sales role where you will master the art of the "hook" and the science of pipeline generation. You will spend the majority of your day engaging in high-volume outbound dialing, serving as the first point of contact for companies struggling with the manual burden of recurring reporting—where valuable hours are lost to updating slide decks rather than driving strategic business outcomes.

While the core of the role is high-velocity outreach, you will also play a critical role in supporting our Enterprise Account Executives by identifying "whitespace" opportunities and performing targeted account research to help us land and expand in key markets.
As a BDR, you will:

  • Execute High-Velocity Outreach: Lead our outbound engine by leveraging modern dialing tools (like Nooks) to engage with dozens of prospects daily and secure qualified meetings.

  • Conduct Strategic "Whitespace" Mapping: Partner with Enterprise AEs to identify "whitespace" within targeted accounts, uncovering new departments and stakeholders who can benefit from Rollstack.

  • Create Targeted Account Intelligence: Enhance provided lead lists with light, high-impact research to ensure our messaging resonates with the specific reporting pains of Data, Customer Success, Finance and Operations leaders.

  • Master the Art of the "Hook": Execute and evolve tailored scripts to capture interest in under 5 minutes, effectively pivoting conversations toward the value of automated reporting.

  • Capture Market Intelligence: Act as the "eyes and ears" of the sales team, gathering initial market feedback that helps our Product and Marketing teams refine our messaging.

  • Maintain CRM & Data Hygiene: Maintain meticulous records of high-volume activity in Salesforce to ensure seamless handoffs and accurate forecasting for the AE team.

We are looking for:

  • 0–2 years of experience in a BDR/SDR or customer-facing role, preferably within AI, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or SaaS.

  • OR experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Operations role at a fast-paced startup.

  • Strong plus: Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related field.

  • Persistence & Drive: A "seller at heart" with the resilience to handle rejection and the discipline to maintain high activity levels.

  • AI-Forward Practitioner: You don’t just use AI; you treat it as a co-pilot. You are an early adopter who can share specific examples of how you integrate AI tools into your daily workflow and personal life to work smarter.

  • Coachability: A desire to learn the fundamentals of SaaS sales and a willingness to iterate on your approach based on real-time feedback.

  • Disciplined Execution: You take pride in "owning your numbers" and have a high bar for your own daily activity metrics and pipeline hygiene.

  • Curiosity: While you follow a script, you have the natural curiosity to ask the "next" question and learn the nuances of how large organizations use data.

  • Ownership Mentality: Self-directed and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, high-trust startup environment where intelligence and kindness go hand-in-hand.

Why join us:

  • Outsized Impact: Shape the sales motion of a category-defining product.

  • World-Class Team: Work alongside veterans from companies like Amazon, Tesla, and Nvidia.

  • Growth Path: Clear trajectory into Account Executive or Customer Success leadership roles.

  • Remote Culture: Fully remote work with bi-annual global offsites.

  • Competitive Rewards: Meaningful equity and performance-based incentives.
