As part of a fast-growing company at the intersection of energy efficiency, technology, and building systems, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and gain deep experience in B2B outreach, sales process development, and the facility optimization industry. Your primary focus will be to generate new business opportunities and open conversations with decision-makers across key commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and social selling to generate new business opportunities
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads by understanding prospect needs, challenges, and objectives related to facilities management and energy efficiency
  • Research and identify target accounts across industries such as food service, retail, healthcare, senior living, automotive services, and hospitality
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, outreach cadences, and lead generation strategies
  • Schedule introductory meetings and demos between qualified prospects and senior sales team members
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of outreach activities, communications, and prospect statuses in the CRM (HubSpot or similar)
  • Support marketing campaigns by following up on inbound leads and event-driven opportunities
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and key market developments in facilities management, IoT, and energy technologies
  • Track and report on key activity metrics including call volume, email engagement, and lead conversion rates
  • Represent Actuate professionally in all external communications and interactions with potential clients

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles (SaaS, energy, or technology sectors preferred)
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and lead qualification
  • Familiarity, or direct experience using AI powered tools for prospecting, and lead nurturing, and opportunity development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage decision-makers confidently via phone, email, and social channels
  • Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and familiarity with prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts and outreach cadences
  • Self-motivated and persistent, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and exceed goals
  • Passion for technology-driven solutions and making a positive impact on energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in cleantech, building systems, and energy management industries, or business development experience in our key vertices
  • Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling approaches
  • Interest in career growth toward Account Executive or Business Development Lead roles
