Role Purpose: 

Jumio is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Americas team and grow our SaaS business across our products and services. The primary responsibility of the BDR is to communicate the Jumio value proposition to decision-makers and influencers in order to acquire qualified opportunities. 

This role involves researching companies and contacts, inbound and outbound campaigns, and qualifying each opportunity before sending it to an Account Executive. The BDR works with demand generation to uncover and create new opportunities resulting in closed businesses.

The BDR must become well versed in the functionality and value of Jumio’s ID Verification and AML/Compliance solutions relevant to the marketplace and decision maker. This individual will report to the Business Development Manager, Americas.

Role Value: 

Collaborating with Sales and Marketing, our BDRs are the front line of offense when a company contacts us or we want to approach them.  

Responsibilities:

  • Connecting with prospects using phone and email and responding to all inbound leads
  • Procuring Sales Qualified Leads for Account Executives
  • Documenting daily activities in Salesforce CRM
  • Working closely with the sales team to accelerate the sales cycle for Enterprise accounts, and to extend reach into target accounts
  • Recommending process enhancements for more targeted demand generation efforts and improved selling technique
  • Representing and protecting the Jumio brand with integrity and professionalism at all times in all written and oral communications

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Proven ability to research and prospect using telephone, email and online networking sites
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and an absolute focus on quality of work
  • Proficient MS Office experience or Google Docs
  • Prior experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Previous account entry and lead qualification experience preferred
  • Marketing services sales or Software as a Service (SaaS) sales experience desired 

Great to have Experience and Qualifications:

  • Established network of contacts in regional enterprise customers
  • Existing knowledge of the ID verification, AML or KYC market
  • Competitor product awareness and insight 
  • Degree educated is preferred, not essential

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is from $64,000,000 to $80,000. This is based on Jumio’s US national salary band for the role. Geographical adjustment is applied for tier 1 locations and more may be available based on your skills and experience. 

This position also qualifies for sales commission.
