LOCATION: New York City (hybrid - 3 days in office)
SALARY: $100,000 - $120,000 OTE
The Role:
As a Business Development Representative at Canoe Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by generating qualified leads and establishing new client relationships. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing leads. Your ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of Canoe Intelligence's solutions will be critical in identifying opportunities and converting leads into sales opportunities.
What You'll Do:
  • Prospect and generate new sales leads through outbound calls, emails, and other channels within the wealth and institutional financial markets
  • Qualify inbound leads from various sources, including marketing campaigns, events, and website inquiries
  • Conduct initial outreach and engage with potential clients to understand their needs and introduce Canoe Intelligence's solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to drive pipeline growth
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and lead activities in the CRM system
  • Work closely with Sales Executives to schedule meetings and appointments with qualified prospects
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitors to effectively position Canoe Intelligence's value proposition

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a sales/business development or similar role, preferably within the financial technology (fintech) sector
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage and build rapport with prospects
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets and KPIs
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and sales prospecting tools
  • Knowledge of alternative investments, asset servicing, or financial services is preferred
