About Phonely
Every day, billions of phone calls are made to businesses, and AI will soon power the majority of them. Businesses need a way to build, simulate, integrate, and deploy voice AI agents. That’s what we’re building.
To create AI voice agents that truly match human performance, we need 99.999% reliability. We’ve built fine-tuned LLMs, real-time monitoring, Zapier-like automation, and voice infrastructure that scales instantly.
We’re growing fast. Across nearly all of our investors’ portfolios, we’re one of the fastest-growing companies. Our customers are expanding, demand is climbing, and we’re looking for a BDR who’s hungry to learn, compete, and help us scale.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build pipeline every day through cold calls, DMs, emails, events, and referrals. If there’s a way to start a conversation, you use it.

  • Own inbound. Warm leads are coming in, and you’ll qualify them, move quickly, and turn interest into revenue.

  • Run your own discovery calls and demos, not just book meetings and hand them off.

  • Create opportunities where none existed before.

  • Work directly with the founders to sharpen messaging and close feedback loops.

  • Become an expert on voice AI and help customers see how it can transform their business.

What Success Looks Like
This is a startup. We move fast. Early on, success looks like:

  • Learning the product, market, and customer pain points quickly.

  • Building and prioritizing your target account list.

  • Generating qualified pipeline through a mix of inbound and outbound.

  • Running your own demos and customer conversations.

  • Pushing opportunities forward with urgency.

We’re not looking for perfection on day one. We’re looking for people who learn fast and execute.
Qualifications

  • You don’t wait for permission. You find a way.

  • You hear “no” and keep going.

  • You can work a room, whether it’s Zoom, a conference, or a cold call.

  • You take ownership and figure things out.

  • You care about outcomes, not activity for its own sake.

  • You want more responsibility, learning, and growth than a traditional sales role offers.

  • Bonus if you’ve sold SaaS, infrastructure, or AI products.

  • Less than 1 year of experience is acceptable

Most BDR roles teach you how to book meetings. This one teaches you how to build pipeline, run demos, understand customer pain points, and move deals toward close. If your goal is to become an elite salesperson, founder, or GTM leader, this is the kind of role that compresses years of learning into months.
Why Join Us?
Uncapped commissions. Equity. Free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And you’ll work directly with the founding team.
We’re building the future of AI voice: fast, scalable, and reliable 24/7.
If you’re ambitious, tired of moving slowly, and want to build something that actually matters, we want to meet you.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
