6 months, full time, September start.

Over 6 months, you will help build the commercial engine of a company mid-transformation, working directly alongside the General Manager.

Companow helps international entrepreneurs set up and manage their structures in France, entirely in English, with clients from over 90 countries. We are part of the Anderson Global group, an international, private-equity-backed group present in 8 countries.

We are in a growth and strategic repositioning phase, moving toward higher-value startup clients. We have just been officially selected by Choose Paris Region, we are about to migrate to a new CRM, and we are building a strong partner network: lawyers, accountants, chambers of commerce, investment promotion agencies, embassies. A small team, but a wide institutional and commercial ecosystem.

The role

You work directly with the General Manager, no middle layer, on everything that makes the company grow. Our belief: go find prospects where they are, rather than waiting for them to come to us. That means fieldwork, embassies, trade shows, real meetings, not just campaigns behind a screen.

Responsibilities:

Business development

  • Building and enriching prospect lists, preparing and running prospecting campaigns
  • Joining client calls: understanding their projects, connecting them with the right partners in our network
  • Tracking commercial performance

Partnerships and events

  • Attending major international events: VivaTech, Web Summit, Choose France embassy events, meetings with regional investment agencies
  • Preparing and joining meetings with strategic partners (lawyers, accountants, chambers of commerce), before and after
  •  Connecting clients with these partners, including in-person meetings

Tools and structuring

  • Contributing to the structuring of our upcoming CRM: data, pipelines, dashboards
  • Monitoring the startup ecosystem and development opportunities
  • Any cross-functional topic as needed: that is also what a small team looks like

Requirements

Who we are looking for

Mindset first, perfect resume second:

  • Versatile, agile, comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • A self-starter who proposes rather than waits for permission
  • Curious, eager to learn broadly and fast
  • Humble: here to learn as much as to contribute
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable representing the company with clients, partners, and on the ground
  • Fluent English required
  • Business school, Sciences Po, or university student, M1/M2 level

Benefits

What you will gain

  • Direct access to the General Manager on genuinely strategic topics
  • Rare exposure for an internship: client calls, international trade shows, embassy events, partner meetings, real-time decisions
  • A role at the crossroads of business, institutions, and international relations, ideal if you are aiming for consulting, international development, or entrepreneurship next
  • The environment of a private-equity-backed group, with the agility of a small team
  • A role that can lead to a full-time offer

Practical details

  • Duration: 6 months, full time
  • Location: Paris 8th
  • To apply: send your resume and two lines on what would make you choose this internship over another

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
