JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the stability, performance, and ongoing evolution of the Business Intelligence (BI) and data analytics global platform across the Henry Schein Products Group (HSPG). Reporting to the Senior Director, this role owns the day-to-day operations of the existing BI environment while developing and executing plans to scale, enhance, and modernize analytics capabilities in support of business growth.

This position combines operational oversight with strategic contribution. The Manager is directly responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing BI solutions, while partnering closely with IT and external consultants to support infrastructure, integrations, and specialized initiatives.  The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, hands-on BI experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable analytics solutions.

The role combines operational accountability with business partnership—ensuring the platform operates reliably and meets current reporting needs, while collaborating with functional leaders to expand analytics capabilities in line with evolving commercial and operational priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • BI Platform Operations & Technical Execution
    • Own the day-to-day performance, reliability, and integrity of the BI and analytics platform.
    • Ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reporting across the organization.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize business disruption.
    • Maintain strong data quality standards while coordinating platform enhancements across integrated systems.
    • Manage platform updates, enhancements, and user support processes.
  • Analytics Delivery & Business Partnership
    • Partner with commercial, finance, and operational teams to understand reporting needs and evolving business priorities.
    • Translate business requirements into practical, scalable analytics solutions.
    • Deliver actionable insights that support revenue growth, margin improvement, pricing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
    • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate and timely data.
  • Platform Enhancement & Modernization
    • Identify and prioritize opportunities to expand dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data models.
    • Integrate new data sources and enhance data accessibility across functional teams.
    • Contribute to and execute against a forward-looking roadmap that balances operational stability with modernization and scalability.
    • Partner with external consultants on larger enhancement or transformation initiatives.
  • Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish and reinforce standards for data governance, documentation, and reporting consistency.
    • Strengthen data validation and quality control processes.
    • Promote data literacy and encourage effective adoption of analytics tools across the organization.
    • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of analytics initiatives against defined business objectives.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Experience contributing to BI modernization or platform expansion initiatives
  • Experience working with external consultants or third-party implementation partners
  • Working knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Experience in distribution, healthcare, or multi-entity business environments
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise BI platforms and reporting environments
  • Experience supporting production BI systems in complex, multi-system environments
  • Strong experience integrating and reporting from ERP and CRM systems
  • Proven ability to manage platform operations while delivering enhancements and new capabilities
  • Experience partnering with IT teams on infrastructure, security, and integration initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience across functions
  • Strong hands-on technical capability with the ability to independently design, develop, and maintain BI solutions
  • Operationally disciplined with a focus on system stability, performance, and data accuracy
  • Business-oriented thinker who connects analytics outputs to measurable financial and operational outcomes
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills with the ability to balance daily operational support and longer-term enhancement initiatives

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $110,692-$152,202 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
