At Zoox, data is at the core of everything we do. As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) working with the Autonomy Team, you will play a key role in empowering engineers and leadership with actionable insights to evaluate and improve Zoox’s autonomous driving capabilities. 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement BI solutions that provide critical visibility into system performance, safety, and customer experience. Your work will directly influence the development and validation of our autonomous technology, ensuring we meet the highest safety, comfort, and operational efficiency standards as we progress toward commercial deployment.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify their needs, translate them into analytical requirements, and deliver automated, actionable data solutions.
  • Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to establish consistent, accurate metrics and data models.
  • Increase the company’s data literacy by developing self-service tools and teaching others how to use them effectively.
  • Design and maintain impactful visualizations and dashboards that give stakeholders actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Champion best practices in reporting and workflows, including data integrity, scalability, validation, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Background/knowledge in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, Statistics, and 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • High proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
  • A passion for collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling
  • Proficiency in Python
