About Fay

At Fay, our mission is to make nutrition a foundational pillar of preventative care, improving outcomes, accessibility, and affordability at scale. We're building AI-powered infrastructure to transform preventative healthcare. Think that's bold? We're just getting started.

Today, Fay is a three-sided marketplace connecting providers, patients, and payers to revolutionize preventative care delivery. Our b2b2c business-in-a-box solution empowers dietitians to deliver high-quality, affordable nutrition care, helps patients take control of their health, and enables payers to build healthier member populations. Nutrition is our starting point, not the finish line. The platform we're building will expand into new areas of preventative health and wellness as we grow.

We're proud to be one of the fastest-growing companies in healthtech, backed by category-defining investors like General Catalyst, Forerunner, 1984, and Goldman Sachs.

Ready to leverage AI-driven technology to transform preventative care and make a real-world impact on health? Let's talk.

About This Role

As part of the broader Business Operations function, you will join the Strategic Initiatives team as a collaborative contributor. In this role, you’ll help support the systems, processes, and insights that enable Fay to scale and deliver high-quality experiences for providers, patients, and partners. You’ll work across the company to solve ambiguous problems, improve operational performance, and drive business clarity.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who thrives in 0→1 environments, enjoys structured problem-solving, and is energized by owning projects end-to-end. You combine analytical comfort with strong business judgment, operational instincts, and tight execution. You’re equally fluent in digging into data as you are in designing processes, communicating recommendations, and partnering with stakeholders.

If you want a role where your fingerprints will be all over how a rapidly growing healthtech company scales from hundreds to thousands to millions of users, this is it.

Please note: We hire across a wide range of experience levels. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and years of relevant experience.

 What You'll Be Doing
  • Strategy & Business Analysis
    • Partner with Strategic Initiatives and cross-functional leaders to analyze performance trends, model scenarios, and recommend actions that drive growth, efficiency, and experience quality.
    • Translate data and insights into clear, concise business recommendations.
    • Build lightweight models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Building
    • Design and improve operational workflows for key parts of the provider and patient experience.
    • Identify bottlenecks, quality gaps, or inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions.
    • Develop documentation, playbooks, and internal processes that ensure consistency and clarity as the company grows.
  • Cross-Functional Execution
    • Lead medium-sized projects from problem definition to execution (e.g., provider onboarding improvements, patient experience pilots, billing workflows).
    • Collaborate deeply with Product to operationalize new features, shape requirements, and ensure real-world needs inform product decisions.
    • Serve as a connector across teams—surfacing insights, sharing context, and building alignment.
  • Data & Measurement
    • Build dashboards and reporting to track marketplace performance and operational health.
    • Use SQL, spreadsheets, and BI tools to answer business questions.
    • Ensure data accuracy by partnering with Data, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Growth & Business Impact
    • Identify opportunities to improve margins, utilization, and throughput.
    • Support forecasting, pricing work, funnel analysis, and evaluating new business initiatives.
    • Bring clarity to what drives impact—and what doesn’t.
 Your Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, BizOps, strategy & operations, business analysis, or similar roles in high-growth environments.
  • Strong structured problem-solving abilities with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Solid experience with data analysis, including spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic SQL (or willingness to learn).
  • Demonstrated experience owning cross-functional projects end-to-end.
  • Operational fluency—ability to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design scalable processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly.
  • NYC or SF-based, and able to join team in-office on a hybrid rhythm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable writing basic SQL queries.
  • Experience in a healthcare, marketplace, or operations-heavy environment.
  • Experience partnering with Product or Engineering.
  • Exposure to KPI design, unit economics modeling, or forecasting.
