Job Description

Apex Systems has an immediate need for an SAP BI / BOBJ Functional Analyst for our client's 2017 Business Intelligence Initiative Program. The initiative includes work streams to stand up a SQL Server Data Mart environment for data exploration and functional analytics; empower business users to have minimal IT dependency with more self-service analytics, and establish a dashboard manufacturing model by following the Agile project methodology.

· Resource will act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.

· Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.

· Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.Prepares specifications for system changes. May develop systems test plan components and test scripts.

· May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications

· 5+ years of business analyst experience

· Must have a keen understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and technology

· Must have experience with Business Intelligence solutions:

· Understanding of both the Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

· Must be able to analyze and validate data in SAP Business Warehouse

· Experience creating queries in SAP Business Warehouse

· Strong BI strategic and analytical skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong requirements gathering skills

· Must be able to work against tight project deadlines

Preferred Skills

· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

· Knowledge of Ab Initio or other metadata and application integration software

· Knowledge of SAP Business Objects security access levels
