MECCA’s Education team plays an important role in building the confidence, capability and expertise of our store teams, and we’re looking for a passionate Category Education Lead – Fragrance & Hair to create and deliver inspiring education across these categories, with a primary focus on Hair.
Working closely with the Category Education Manager – Fragrance & Hair, Learning Design, Services and Innovation, category teams and our brand partners, this role will develop innovative education experiences that support category growth, strengthen specialist capability and help our teams consistently deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
The Role You Could Play:
As the Category Education Lead – Fragrance & Hair, you will design and deliver engaging education across digital, virtual and face-to-face formats. You will:
Create, facilitate and continuously improve category education, including online courses, virtual classrooms, masterclasses, service protocols, assessments and face-to-face training
Partner with the Category Education Manager, Learning Design and Services and Innovation teams to identify capability gaps and deliver commercially considered training solutions
Build strong relationships with brand, category, marketing and field stakeholders to align education activity with category priorities and business objectives
Support the development of Fragrance and Hair Specialists through targeted upskilling and service-led education
Coordinate brand-led training activity, including briefs, planning calls, gratis negotiations and regular stakeholder communications
What You Will Bring:
You are an engaging facilitator and collaborative education professional with a genuine passion for fragrance and hair. Ideally, you will bring:
- Expert knowledge of the Hair category, including hair physiology, products, ingredients and advanced hair styling skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners in both physical and virtual environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and adapt content for different audiences
- Experience designing, editing or delivering education content, with strong PowerPoint and Word skills and sound capability across Excel, Teams, editing software and learning design tools
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work within budget expectations and identify opportunities to improve processes
- Knowledge of fragrance terminology, chemistry and products will be highly regarded.
