onsemi is seeking a highly effective, energetic, and organized senior procurement professional to lead our Energy Sourcing and Procurement on a global scale. You will strategize and collaborate with other senior leaders across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. You will be the subject matter expert in energy pricing and billing for regulated and non-regulated markets; understand energy markets, energy generation and legal and regulatory aspects of energy and water Procurement. You will build positive relationships with retailers, wholesalers, developers, and other partners across the energy category. You will participate and provide procurement support in global sustainability projects and initiatives to include the purchase of renewable energy instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of comprehensive global energy and utility procurement strategies
  • Analyze trends and regulations in various energy markets to ensure consistent and quality supply to onsemi sites globally while also delivering world class cost
  • Evaluate new markets, tariffs, policies, power contracts, or new sourcing opportunities and technologies
  • Analyze trends and regulations in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities that benefit onsemi
  • Negotiation of power/water/gas/fuel contracts
  • Build and publish regular reports on assigned energy category to leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs, including the support of other direct or indirect categories

  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects with minimal direction
  • Familiarity with renewable energy credit programs, renewable project development, power forecasting and scheduling, portfolio management theory, advanced energy storage, or alternative energy resources
  • Proven ability to evaluate new energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating new energy sourcing opportunities and technologies
  • Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as utilities, regional power planning agencies, renewable project developers, project investors, and renewable OEMs
  • Presentation Skills - Is effective in a variety of formal presentation settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups and up and down the levels of the organization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required in Finance/Economics/Engineering/Business
  • 5+ years of experience in energy markets, energy trading, power contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable development, energy procurement, or energy generation technologies
  • Solid experience with hedging or other financial instruments used in the energy sectors
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and recommend strategic outcomes
  • Outstanding speaking-listening-writing skills and attention to details
  • Strong modelling and data analysis skills
  • Consistent track record for encouraging positive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, or other third parties
  • Very strong negotiation skills to successfully negotiate with vendors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of standard terms and conditions instituted in supply agreements.
  • Advanced analytical skills including Excel, Word and Power Point, Tableau, Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a group to accomplish individual and team objectives.
  • Flexibility to adjust to a regularly changing and fast-paced business environment.
  • Travel, including international, up to 10%.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $87,700 - $153,400 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
