Role Overview

WatchTime Studios is looking for a Channel Director to own the holistic performance of YouTube channels within the WatchTime Studios portfolio, with accountability for both audience growth and financial results.

This role owns the P&Ls of a slate of channels and oversees them end to end, from creative direction through execution, including what gets made, how it is packaged, and how it performs. The goal is to build channels that grow consistently as WatchTime Studios grows.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Channel Director owns the P&Ls of multiple WatchTime Studios channels, with accountability for both audience and financial performance across creative direction and execution.

You will own the holistic performance of the channels while working closely with teams that lead functions such as publishing and production, alongside cross-functional Beast Industries teams. The position also has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the GM of WatchTime Studios for P&L reviews, budgeting, and studio-level planning.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the P&L of WatchTime Studios channels, including revenue performance, per-video costs, margin targets, and team overhead.
  • Partner with the Head of Content to own channel creative direction and execute the content strategy, calendar, and release cadence.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of content from concept through release, using performance data to optimize content strategy over time.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on publishing execution across platforms and use performance data to continuously optimize and iterate.
  • Set and deliver channel performance goals across views, retention, click-through, audience growth, and revenue.
  • Analyze channel performance and provide data-backed recommendations to the Head of Content to inform content strategy.
  • Partner with production and post-production teams to keep videos on schedule, on budget, and at the expected quality bar.
  • Oversee channel team members, including Creative Directors and Producers, and guide the output of production staff in close partnership with the Head of Production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Beast Industries teams on monetization and brand integrations without compromising content quality.
What You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in digital video or creator-led content, including direct ownership of the performance of one or multiple YouTube or social media channels.
  • Experience owning a P&L or budget for a content business, with accountability for both revenue and costs.
  • A demonstrated track record of growing YouTube or social media channels, supported by measurable results.
  • Deep working knowledge of YouTube analytics, packaging, and platform ranking signals.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to articulate why a video will or will not work before it is made.
  • Experience overseeing content teams and managing production budgets.
  • Comfort making fast decisions with incomplete data and being accountable for outcomes.
