What you'll do

As the Channel Engineering Lead (CEL), you will be peered with Kentik SE Directors (SEDs), SE’s, Channel Account Managers (CAMs) and partner pre and post sales SE leaders where you will be responsible to ensure our focus partner engineers are properly enabled and productive selling and implementing our Kentik platform & technology solutions.

  • Build relationships with key partner and Kentik SEs within their geography and assigned focus partner base
  • Focus on enablement & relationships of focus partner pre & post sales engineers
  • Feedback and influence on technical enablement strategy/plan for channel partners
  • Own, monitor, report on, and drive technical enablement activities for assigned partner base in assigned geography
  • Teach in-area SEs and Value Added Distributor(s) how to manage and deliver technical enablement plans for their partner base
  • Be a Kentik technical expert: know network intelligence, competition and channel business dynamics
  • Lead lab, demo, best practices session & workshops
  • Coordinate partner training activities with wide range of Kentik field & corporate resources
  • Frequently act as the host for a range of in-area and corporate enablement events
  • Master and communicate internal operations of partner enablement, and doing business with Kentik from a pre & post sales SE perspective
  • Collaborate with Kentik Product and Marketing teams to communicate partner recommendations and requirements 
  • Collaborates with Kentik SEDs, SEs, CAMs, CELs, trainers & partner SE leaders

  • 3+ years of experience as an Solutions Engineer, preferably in a partner facing role and/or as a presales SED
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally; can passionately deliver high-level messaging
  • Excellent attention to detail, including tracking, reporting and SFDC 
  • Experience designing, selling, demonstrating, installing and troubleshooting network intelligence products
  • Previous vendor and/or partner SE Management experience
  • Experience working on Kentik solutions 
  • Experience from companies in the network intelligence space
  • Ability to work independently while following prescribed enablement plan
  • Technical and business experience 
  • Ability to travel (30%+) - the amount of travel may vary by company needs and quarter

Our compensation philosophy encompasses a fair program for all in order to attract, engage and retain talented individuals who will drive our business and wow our customers.

The base salary range for this position is: $133,000 - $161,000, with an expected overall targeted earnings (OTE) range of: $190,000 - $230,000. The salary range and OTE reflect the low and high end of the U.S. range Kentik reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role. The actual compensation offered may be lower or higher than the stated range depending on various factors, including but not limited to:

  • Experience with the skill sets required for success
  • Demonstrated competencies and potential 
  • A geographic market-based approach
