Responsibilities:

The Channel Sales Director (CSD)/Partner Director primary duties include driving new business to Shift4 through the prospecting and signing of new partners to The CSD is Instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets and optimizing growth with each new partner. The CSD is the subject matter expert on all things pertaining to the Partnership. This is an individual contributor role. 

  • Actively prospecting, attending trade shows, conferences, on-site meetings/visits and hunting new strategic.
  • Creating, negotiating and closing commercial agreements with new.
  • Provide to partner a full understanding of Shift4 Schedule A, Bonus opportunities and EMV device.
  • Collaborating with API/Integrations team to assist new partner through integration and certification to Shift4.
  • Prepare and execute a structured, planned agenda/ meeting curriculum when presenting to partners via phone or on-site.
  • Train new/existing partners on Shift4 products, services and the sales process - Including residual reporting, lead management and the submitting of new leads to educate new partners on Shift4 UTG and the installation/activation.
  • When necessary, submit documentation needed for Lab Request to ensure partner has successfully been trained on installation.
  • Identify marketing opportunities through conversations with the partner and implementing those plans to coincide with new partner.
  • Updating and keeping accurate records in Salesforce on the partner merchant base, integration type, interface, hardware supported and products.
  • Demonstrate strong cross functional collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, customer care, product development and technology operations.
  • Ensure all documents, training, paper work and other items are processed to complete the on-boarding.
  • Work closely to train the CSM on partner product, services, nuances, and expectations.
  • Obtain first 2 merchant leads from the partner and provide those to assigned.
  • Actively oversee the launch of those 2 merchants from start to finish.
  • Once new partner has boarded 5 merchants (successfully) with Shift4, CSD schedules a call with CSM and Partner to formally hand-off the partner to the assigned.
  • Scheduled & consistent meetings with respective CSM on sales KPI’s (example: growth, lead count conversion rates) and including them in correspondence to ISV's/dealers.
  • Continuously work to achieve sales & revenue targets as set by the AVP and SVP of Channel.
  • Provide directives & feedback to the CSM & marketing team on the success of sales.
  • Timely addressing any service issues escalated to you by the CSM and/or channel.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ year’s experience working in Channel Sales within the POS and Payments space
  • BA/BS Preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in SalesForce and Monday.com preferred.
