About Us

Cambium the first tech-native forest products company. We are building AI powered supply chains for the $1 trillion forest products market, unifying a fragmented, analog supply chain by aggregating demand from enterprise giants like Amazon, CBRE, Gensler, and many others. This wedge forces the ecosystem onto our digital rails, allowing us to digitize procurement, automate payments, and uniquely distribute next-gen high-performance materials. We are re-architecting the American industrial base, transforming a vulnerable, offline commodity trade into the resilient, software-defined infrastructure needed to decarbonize this sector. In 2025 the company grew revenue by 5x and expanded supply chain volume by 19x.

About This Role

As Cambium’s Chief Financial Officer, you’ll be the architect of our financial engine – guiding company-wide strategy while overseeing operational execution. You’ll work closely with the CEO to optimize Cambium’s capital strategy and communicate the company’s vision and performance metrics to funding partners. The CFO will design scalable systems, bring rigor to forecasting and reporting, and partner cross-functionally with team leads to embed financial analysis into operational strategy. The ideal candidate has experience managing the capital-intensive nature of manufacturing alongside the high-growth trajectory of a technology startup.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Strategic Finance Leadership: Own Cambium’s long-term financial strategy, build scalable FP&A processes, and create the financial infrastructure required for a high growth Series B/C company. Build and develop a high-performing team of financial professionals.

  • Metrics & Performance Management: Transition the finance org from "accounting-heavy" to "intelligence-heavy." Implement the tools to standardize company-wide reporting, enhance internal controls, and support real-time KPI visibility to inform decision making.

  • Fundraising Partnership: work directly with Cambium’s CEO to own the narrative and financial diligence for upcoming institutional rounds. Leverage existing VC/PE relationships and fundraising experience to position Cambium’s unique physical + digital model for maximum valuation and strategic alignment.

  • M&A Analysis: You’ll oversee the financial evaluation of potential strategic acquisitions, stress-testing the theses behind a proposed merger. Post-merger you’ll be responsible for optimizing financial integration, and the realization of synergies created across entities.

  • Capital Stack Orchestration: Design and execute an effective capital strategy. You will move beyond simple equity rounds to build a multi-layered capital stack including debt, grants, and traditional equity investment. You will also evaluate and own the process for non-dilutive financing structures that support scaling physical infrastructure.

Your Skill Sets and Capabilities Include

  • You’re a proven, multi-exit or multi-stage CFO who has led companies through Series B and beyond. You’ve seen around the corner of rapid growth, and know where systems typically break.

  • You’re a metrics-driven, entrepreneurial leader who loves the fast pace of early stage startups.

  • You bring strong executive presence and can translate complex financial concepts into clear narratives for internal stakeholders, the board, and investors.

  • You have personally led or played a lead role in capital raises greater than $50M, with expertise in leveraging non-dilutive instruments alongside venture capital.

  • You have a track record of building and leading finance teams, and your leadership style aligns with Cambium’s values (extreme ownership, exceptional execution, people first, and unequivocally good).

  • You have experience working in both the physical and digital product realms. You’re equally comfortable discussing inventory turnover and CAPEX ROI as you are evaluating marketplace metrics for a tech platform.

  • You’re excited about the opportunity to leverage your financial expertise in driving meaningful environmental and social impact.
