About SnapMagic

SnapMagic is the leading platform for electrical engineers, helping more than 1.5 million engineers design products like drones, electric vehicles, robotics systems, and VR headsets faster.

Over the past decade, we've built one of the world's largest electronics component databases and become a trusted platform across the electronics industry. Today, we're leveraging AI to transform how engineers discover, evaluate, and design with electronic components.

With strong revenue growth, proven product-market fit, and recent backing from leading Silicon Valley investors, we're entering our next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

As SnapMagic scales, the most valuable thing we can protect is our leadership team's time and focus.

That's why we're hiring a Chief of Staff.

This role exists to create leverage for the CEO and the company. You'll take on the nitty-gritty work that keeps the company moving, and you'll build the systems, workflows, and AI automations that make the whole team faster. You'll sit at the center of the company, working directly with the CEO and across every function to identify what's slowing us down and fix it.

This is not a traditional, meeting-scheduling chief of staff role. You are a builder and an operator. Some days you'll be preparing a leadership deck or running an all-hands. Other days you'll be automating a workflow, scoping a new initiative, or getting a new leader up to speed. The common thread: things get done, and the company gets more capable because you were here.

What You'll Own

  • Office of the CEO: Run the CEO's operating cadence. Prepare meetings, manage priorities and follow-through, and manage the Executive Assistant. Make sure the CEO's time is spent on the highest-leverage work.

  • Leverage Creation & AI Automation: Find the repetitive, manual, and slow parts of how we work, then build the automations, workflows, and AI-powered tools that eliminate them. Use AI to multiply the output of the CEO, the leadership team, and the company.

  • Team Rhythm & Communication: Run the team's operating rhythm: all-hands, exec meetings, and onboarding new executives. Prepare OKR and leadership materials, gather feedback across the company, and help the CEO act on it.

  • Cross-Functional Initiatives: Identify, scope, and own initiatives that cut across teams. When an initiative shows promise, scale it, including hiring the people to take it on full-time.

  • Operations: Take the lead on People Ops and support Business and Tech Ops functions and associates. Keep the company's operational foundation strong as we grow.

  • The Glue: Hold the team together through clear communication and feedback-gathering. Balance the discretion needed to earn trust with the action needed to get things done.

This is a hands-on role. You'll do the work yourself, build the systems that scale it, and then hand off what should be owned by someone else.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Operations, Strategy, Business Operations, or similar generalist role, ideally at an early-stage startup

  • Demonstrated experience building automations, workflows, or AI-enabled processes that measurably saved time or improved output

  • Extreme attention to detail and a high bar for quality

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new domains quickly

  • Bias toward action. You'd rather ship a first version than write a plan about it

  • Fluency and speed with Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets

  • Working knowledge of key operational concepts (e.g., fundraising, OKRs, People Ops, hiring)

  • Excellent judgment and discretion with sensitive information

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to work credibly with executives and every level of the company

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and solving problems independently

  • Hustle and hunger to advance quickly

  • This is a hybrid position that requires in-person work 3 days a week in our San Francisco office

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

  • Look at a repetitive process and immediately think about how to automate it

  • Enjoy building as much as operating

  • Can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and getting into the weeds

  • Know when to advise, when to decide, and when to just do it yourself

  • Earn trust through follow-through

  • Thrive in small, high-accountability teams
