Who is Sonar?

Sonar helps prevent code quality and code security issues from reaching production, amplifies developers' productivity in concert with AI assistants, and improves the developer experience with streamlined workflows. Sonar analyzes all code, regardless of who writes it — your internal team, genAI, or third parties — resulting in more secure, reliable, and maintainable applications. Rooted in the open source community, Sonar’s solutions support over 30 programming languages, frameworks, and infrastructure technologies. Today, Sonar is used by +7M developers and 400K organizations worldwide, including the DoD, Microsoft, NASA, MasterCard, Siemens, and T-Mobile.

We believe in developing great products that are supported by great internal teams and a strong culture.  We are highly committed to and obsessed with the company, users, each other, and our open source community. We have high standards and hold each other accountable for acting with positivity, dedication, thoughtfulness, empathy, and passion daily.

We are deliberate with our decisions with high clarity of intention. At the same time, we feel extreme urgency and move forward quickly.

And lastly, we are highly effective and operationally efficient. We operate collectively as One Team to accomplish our goals.

At Sonar, CODE is more than just an acronym – it's a mindset that defines daily operations.

Why You Should Apply:

At Sonar, we’re a group of brilliant, motivated, and driven professionals working hard to help supercharge developers to build better, faster. Sonar helps to continuously improve code quality and code security while reducing developer toil. This means that developers can focus on doing more of what they love and less of what they don’t. Our solutions don’t just solve symptoms of problems – we help fix issues at the source – for all code, whether it's developer-written, AI-generated, or from third parties.

We have a dynamic culture with employees worldwide and hub offices in the USA, Switzerland, the UK, Singapore, and Germany. Team members should be able to come to work every day, work on a product they are proud of, love what they do, and feel energized by their peers. With our roots deep in the open source community, we’re all about the mission: supercharge developers to build better, faster.

The Role

The Chief of Staff is the operational engine of the CRO’s office. This is a high-leverage role designed for an ambitious, AI-forward professional who excels at turning high-level direction into polished execution. Your mission is to amplify the CRO’s impact by owning the heavy lifting of executive communications, rapid-response data analysis and operational follow-through.
In this role, you will work in close coordination with the VP of Revenue Operations - the CRO’s primary strategic partner - to ensure that the leadership’s vision is translated into daily action and that the organisation maintains a high tempo of execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-Driven Executive Enablement
  • The ‘Next-Gen’ Workspace: Actively leverage AI tools (LLMs, automated synthesis, and AI-driven design) to accelerate the production of briefs, reports, and communications. You are expected to be an early adopter who uses technology to work with 10x efficiency
  • High-Stakes Storytelling: Lead the production of sophisticated slide decks and visual narratives for Board meetings, QBRs, and external keynotes. You take the ‘rough notes’ from the CRO and VP of RevOps and turn them into world-class executive content
  • Synthesis & Prep: Ensure the CRO is never ‘going in cold’. You will synthesise updates from across the business into concise daily briefings and preparation notes
  • Agile Business Intelligence
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis: Act as the first responder for the CRO’s analytical questions. You will dive into Salesforce and BI tools to provide immediate clarity on business performance, ensuring the CRO has real-time insights for decision-making
  • Insight Activation: Partner with the Revenue Operations team to identify trends and anomalies, performing the initial ‘deep dives’ that allow the broader team to stay focused on long-term systemic improvements
  • Operational Rigour & Accountability
  • Execution Tracking: Attend leadership meetings to capture decisions and drive relentless follow-up. You ensure that action items are owned, tracked, and brought to completion without things falling through the cracks
  • Rhythm of the Business: Support the VP of RevOps in managing the CRO’s operating rhythm (weekly cadences, planning cycles), ensuring all participants are prepared and outcomes are documented
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as a proactive connector between the CRO’s office and the rest of the organisation to unblock projects and accelerate information flow
  • Team Integration & Mentorship
  • This role features a formal dotted-line relationship to the VP of Revenue Operations. You will be integrated into the RevOps team and participate in their strategic meetings. This structure ensures you have:
  • The Full Picture: Direct exposure to the ‘Right Hand’ of the CRO to understand the high-level strategy and systems thinking driving the company
  • Professional Growth: Mentorship from the VP of RevOps to hone your operational craft and analytical skills
  • Collaboration: A clear bridge between the CRO’s immediate needs and the organisation’s long-term revenue infrastructure

About You

  • AI-First Mindset: You don't just use AI; you experiment with it to automate your own workflow and provide faster, better results
  • Analytically Native: You have a high degree of comfort with data and can navigate CRM systems to find the ‘ground truth’ quickly
  • Exceptional Designer: You have a ‘Board-level’ eye for deck design and can communicate complex ideas through simple, elegant visuals
  • Highly Organised: You are the person who never misses a deadline and is known for ‘closing the loop’ on every conversation

Key Responsibilities

  • 2–5 years of experience in Management Consulting, BizOps, RevOps, or as a Founder’s Associate
  • Mastery of PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and output quality
  • Ability to operate with high emotional intelligence and total discretion
