Partner with our Founder/CEO Joseph (2x founder, $50MM+ raised from Tier 1 VCs like Accel + Menlo + 100s of angels) to run every part of a high velocity, AI-first startup. You’ll work on a new AI launch we’re taking from 0 to 1, and build systems that scale our current operations from 1-10.
You should think about yourself as an incredible “1-person army.” This is for someone who’s deeply ambitious, and intrinsically motivated to go 150 miles per hour during a make-or-break 12 months during this AI supercycle.
❤️ Knoetic AI + our Chief People Officer network ❤️Our mission is to build the “Second Brain” for every Chief People Officer & their HR team. We're backed by $50MM from Accel, EQT, Menlo, and 100s of legendary angels (Adam Grant, Shreyas Doshi, etc).
Our “right brain” (CPOHQ) crowdsources the best practices, playbooks, and templates of the world’s smartest leaders. Our ”left brain” (People Analytics) gives companies millions of data points, analytics, and insights to run better companies.
We're a beautiful blend of consumer + enterprise product that serves 1000s of C-level execs from companies like Box, Figma, dbt labs, Lyft, Notion, and OpenAI.
✨ Overview✨Our CEO, Joseph, is hiring for a formidable, 1-person army capable of doing whatever it takes to succeed at a startup. This is the perfect role for someone who wants to:
Work on an exciting new 0-1 AI launch, while building systems to scale from 1 to 10
Get incredible exposure to every aspect of running a startup
Touch (and potentially run) every function (product, sales, growth, customer success)
Partner closely with our CEO
Drive incredibly hard to deliver the mission
Partner with 100s of the world’s top tech companies
This is only an in-person role (4-5 days/week) in NYC. We have a beautiful office in a 1,000+ ft skyscraper in the heart of Hudson Yards, New York.
✨ About you & the role: ✨We describe this IC role as force of nature: you’ll be a BizOps lead / Chief of Staff who'll partner directly with our Founder/CEO (Joseph) and GM (Lucas), supporting and leading some of our most important company initiatives.
You’ll be an all-encompassing generalist + operator: do whatever it takes to make every part of the company successful - GTM, Product, Community, People, etc.
You can seamlessly switch altitudes from the 10,000 foot to 1-foot level; you can fearlessly go from working on our company’s product & GTM strategy to building systems to scrape prospect lists, to cold-calling executives @ unicorn companies for conference sponsorships.
You have the operational & analytical rigor to build a financial model, and the charisma to stand in for our CEO at a speaking event.
You are a pleasure to work with; you have a great, positive, always optimistic attitude.
A blend of past, present, and future planned bizops projects):
Planning and executing ELEVATE - our flagship in-person conference for CPOs from Confluent, Box, Brex, ScaleAI, and more.
Personally managing a book of dozens of customer accounts ($XM ARR), then building a system to scale Customer Success to 100s of accounts.
Spinning up AI-powered workflows/automations using modern tools (e.g. Clay, Zapier, Gamma, MCPs) with 0 eng support, to support our GTM operations.
Running GTM for new AI product and feature launches, from building lead lists to running campaigns and closing early customers.
Product + project management: working with Eng and Design to turn ideas into shipped products.
Recruiting & hiring for engineers, salespeople, and more.
Hosting in-person executive dinners, virtual events, and more for our leading community, CPOHQ.
+ dozens more
Depending on role or level, you have 2-10 years of experience as a top performer in roles that demand extreme rigor & intensity (e.g., venture-backed startup, big 3 consulting, banking, top-performing ops/sales teams).
You’re what Keith Rabois calls a barrel, not ammunition - unreasonably high agency and resourcefulness. The kind of person who takes an ambiguous idea from 0 → 1 → live - with taste, urgency, and near 0 handholding.
You’re AI-native. AI is part of how you think and work. You’re the person who’s figured out 10x leverage/speed with a tool or automation 95% of your peers don’t understand yet.
You’re tech & systems savvy. You’re curious, fluent with software, and dangerous with software tools.
You’re quantitative. You’re sharp with spreadsheets and great with data (Optional but nice to have: you’re adept with product analytics tools like PostHog or Mixpanel.)
You have an entrepreneur’s mindset: self-driven, resourceful, ready to build and be in the trenches
You’re a positive, inspiring, happy influence on every team you’ve been on
In this era of AI, we can (and will) build a billion-dollar company with a few dozen employees. This means that every spot on this ship is sacred, and we will have an intensely high bar on recruiting (no hire > mediocre hire).
We will only hire the best of the best (hardworking, passionate, high IQ, good person, etc)
Also, small teams FTW (see Metcalfe’s Law)
Outlier work ethic = outlier results. You work smart and hard; they’re not mutually exclusive.
The bar is always rising. In today’s rapidly evolving world, what’s good today isn’t good enough tomorrow.
This is our moment. Once you meet us and see some of the new things we’re building, you’ll see it’s the right team, right place, right time. We’ll do whatever it takes to seize the moment.
