About Us:

At Navier, we are building America's next-generation maritime company. Our mission is to make waterways as accessible as our highways and to build the most compelling, zero-emission marine vessels that enable a new era of clean waterborne transportation. We have recently launched N30, America's first and the world's longest range electric hydrofoiling boat. N30 is 10x more efficient than traditional gas boats, revolutionizing the way we move goods and people on the water and unlocking a new form of scalable water transportation for 46% of the world's population living in congested coastal cities.

We are an adventurous, close-knit team backed by some of the most prominent tech leaders and well known venture firms in Silicon Valley. Our leaders are MIT, Berkeley and CMU graduates with extensive expertise in aerospace, maritime, autonomous systems and robotics. Join us as we embark on the next phase of exciting growth!

Job Description:
Navier is seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to work directly with our CEO and senior leadership and help run the company day-to-day. This is a high-impact, high-trust role at the center of one of the most interesting growth stories in mobility, defense, and advanced manufacturing.

This person will help drive execution across the business, own key internal initiatives, prepare executive-level materials, solve problems in real time, and step into critical projects wherever needed. One hour may involve strategic discussions with investors, partners, or government stakeholders; the next may require diving into operations, staffing, logistics, or cross-functional execution.

We are looking for someone who combines operational toughness, business sharpness, and relentless follow-through. Someone who gets things done.

This role is in-person in Alameda, CA. Travel of up to 40% is expected.

Why Join Navier:
Maritime represents one of the last untapped frontiers in transportation innovation. Today, America ranks #19 in maritime—but we’re working to change that. With leadership from MIT, Berkeley, and CMU, and backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors, Navier is building the infrastructure and platforms that will define the future of clean marine mobility.

Joining Navier means being part of a purpose-driven team shaping the future of coastal infrastructure, sustainable transit, and marine innovation. We’re mission-first, detail-obsessed, and driven to deliver world-class performance—on and off the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive day-to-day execution across key company priorities and cross-functional initiatives
  • Partner closely with leadership to ensure alignment, accountability, and follow-through
  • Build executive-level presentations, board materials, investor decks, and strategic briefs
  • Develop financial, operational, and scenario models to support decision-making
  • Step into urgent or high-priority projects across operations, finance, hiring, partnerships, product launches and more
  • Improve internal processes, operating cadence, and organizational efficiency
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep momentum high
  • Support travel, customer engagements, major events, and strategic meetings when needed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3–8+ years of experience in high-performance environments such as military, consulting, investment banking, private equity, operations, high-growth startups, or combination of the above.
  • Strong operational leadership background preferred
  • Military background preferred; naval background especially valued (active security clearance is a plus)
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
  • Strong Excel / modeling skills and ability to structure complex problems clearly
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to create high-quality decks and written materials
  • Highly organized, execution-oriented, and comfortable in fast-moving environments

What we offer:

All our positions offer a compensation package that includes base salary and benefits. Benefits include PTO, Sick Time, 401k and 100% paid Medical, Dental and Vision coverage for the employee.

Navier's pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
