Partner with the CEO to drive high-priority, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end: translate strategy into executable plans, enforce accountability, embed changes into operations, build board/investor materials, and act as a credible CEO proxy to ensure measurable outcomes.

Here at Malwarebytes, we believe that when you’re free from threats, you’re free to thrive. It all started in 2008 with one person who needed help with a malware infection, and a community coming together to find solutions. In that moment in time a product was born for all people, with a mission to rid the world of malware. Our product has since grown and evolved, from removing malware, to protecting devices, to ever-changing prevention.

About Malwarebytes Inc.

Malwarebytes began after our founder, Marcin Kleczynski, accidentally infected his parents’ computer while downloading a video game as a teenager. At the time, there was no product that could fully solve the problem, so he set out to build one. That early experience shaped our mission: to create protection that works when people need it most.
Since then, the digital threat landscape has only grown more complex. Attackers are faster, stealthier, and more sophisticated, while traditional solutions often overwhelm people with complicated tools and settings. At Malwarebytes, we believe protection should be both powerful and refreshingly simple because if security feels too hard to use, people will not use it. That is why our aspiration is always to stay one step ahead: cutting through the noise, stopping threats others miss, and delivering peace of mind in an unpredictable digital world.

Malwarebytes is looking for..

We're looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly alongside our CEO as a trusted partner and force multiplier across the company's most critical priorities. In this role, you'll own high-stakes initiatives end-to-end — turning strategic bets into executable plans with real accountability — while partnering with functional leaders to make sure new ways of working actually take hold. The ideal candidate has a track record of driving complex, cross-functional programs to measurable outcomes, and the executive presence to act as a credible proxy for the CEO across internal and external audiences.

What You Will Do:

  • Own high-priority CEO initiatives end-to-end — from problem definition through execution to measurable outcomes
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable plans with clear owners, milestones, and metrics; enforce accountability through cadence-based reviews
  • Partner with the GM and functional leaders to embed initiatives into day-to-day operations rather than running them as side projects
  • Build board and investor materials — synthesizing data into a clear strategic POV, not just presenting numbers
  • Lead change efforts so new processes, tools, and ways of working actually stick
  • Act as a trusted proxy for the CEO in meetings, decisions, and follow-through

Skills You'll Need to Have:

  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional programs with real outcomes — not just coordination
  • Strong financial and analytical fluency; comfortable translating consumer product roadmap and operating metrics into financial assumptions
  • Experience shaping consumer product strategy and persona/ICP targeting
  • A storytelling toolkit that complements the management team in framing strategy for executive and board audiences
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change from ideation through communication and repeated reinforcement

Perks & Benefit:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Employee Referral Bonus Program
  • Wellness programs
  • 401k and employer matching for (US Employees)
  • Comprehensive Time Off policy
  • An opportunity to do something great for yourself and the world!

(Benefits and Perks subject to change by country/region)

Legal Language:

(US Employees Only)

Applicants have rights under the Federal Employment Laws:

  • Employee Polygraph Protection Act
  • Know Your Rights: Discrimination is Illegal
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

This is to affirm our policy of providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Our company will not discriminate against or harass any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, marital status, familial status, membership or activity in a local human rights commission, or status regarding public assistance. We will ensure that all our employment practices are free of discrimination. Such employment practices include, but are not limited to, the following: hiring, upgrading, demotion, transfer, recruitment or recruitment advertising, selection, layoff, disciplinary action, termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training, including apprenticeship. We will provide reasonable accommodation to applicants and employees with disabilities whenever possible.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $235,000. Actually salary will be contingent on experience.
