Cinematographer

Department: Creative Location: On-Site (San Francisco, CA) Company: ImagineArt

Be part of ImagineArt

ImagineArt is one of the fastest-growing GenAI companies globally — 35M ARR, 100M+ social impressions, and a proprietary image model ranked among the best in the world for photorealism. All without external funding.

Now we need someone to tell the story behind the product, and make it look as good as the product itself. Your work will be seen by millions.

Job Summary

We're looking for a Cinematographer & Editor who will work directly alongside founders to capture the real, unfiltered story of ImagineArt — behind-the-scenes moments, product launches, milestones, and daily life — and shape it into short-form content people want to watch and share. This isn't just a "point and shoot" role. We need someone who understands light, composition, and pacing, and who can bring a real creative eye to everything we put out.

You'll own the full pipeline: ideate the story, direct the shoot, capture it, edit it, ship it. No layers. No approval chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X

  • Shoot and direct behind-the-scenes footage from founders' lives, product launches, events, and meetings

  • Bring strong creative direction to every shoot — lighting, framing, camera movement, and visual style

  • Help founders build authentic, engaging personal brands on camera

  • Manage in-house podcast setup (camera, audio, lighting)

  • Develop recurring content formats that showcase ImagineArt's people, culture, and products

  • Take ownership of the full edit — pacing, sound design, color, story structure

  • Experiment with new formats and iterate quickly based on performance

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a cinematographer, videographer, or editor

  • Strong command of camera work — lighting, lenses, composition, movement

  • Photography skills alongside videography

  • Strong creative direction and storytelling instincts — able to ideate concepts, not just execute someone else's

  • Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar

  • Deep understanding of Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and platform-specific trends

  • Ability to take content from concept to publication independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building a personal audience or creator brand

  • Experience with founder-led or startup-focused content

  • Knowledge of AI products and the GenAI ecosystem

  • A portfolio or reel that shows range in visual style and storytelling

  • Experience creating viral or high-growth social content

What You'll Gain

  • Direct access to founders — no management layers

  • Your work seen by millions globally

  • Rapid career growth with high ownership and visibility

  • Access to advanced AI tools and creative technologies

Benefits

  • Competitive salary in USD

  • Full-time, on-site role in San Francisco

  • High-performance, innovation-driven culture
