Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer (Hybrid) to be based in Orange, CA. You will be joining of a global team of 500+ maritime specialists who support on a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes.
  • Civil design for terminals across the United States.
  • Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Valid Driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Proficient in CAD and design software.
  • Experience Civil Engineering Plans, Specifications and Estimate development  
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Civil design
  • Master of Science
  • Experience in the design of marine terminals
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
  • C3D/OpenRoads
