About the role:

Vega Claims is growing at light speed and we are officially opening our Active Talent Pipeline for Claims Adjusters. We believe the best hires happen through relationships.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in creating a world-class claims experience by handling first and third party claims, including cargo, auditing and driving claim success through a third party claims administrator.

We’re a distributed team across Columbus, OH, New York, Atlanta, GA, and Chile. This role is a hybrid position going into the Atlanta office.


What you’ll do:

  • Analyze coverage based on the facts of the loss

  • Make informed liability decisions, including the consideration of comparative negligence

  • Collaborate with claims leadership on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations

  • Negotiate settlements with first and third party claimants

  • Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends

  • Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization

  • Work across departments to pilot and test new innovations

About you:

  • 5+ years of auto claims handling experience

  • Active adjusters license in home or designated home state

  • New York licensing may be required within first 3 months of employment

  • Consistently exceeds targets including, but not limited to, cycle time and recovery rates

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself

  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results

  • Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world

  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments

Nice to Haves:

  • 3+ years of commercial auto and/or transportation claim handling experience.

  • TPA management or auditing experience.

  • Litigation management experience.

  • Independent adjuster licenses in New York.

  • Prior Insurtech or early-stage startup experience.
