Requirements:

  • Proven track record of sales success and established relationships within the Northern CA education and municipal accounts.
  • Minimum of 5 years of account management experience, including at least 3 years selling technology solutions within the Northern California SLED market.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure modernization, multi-cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and digital transformation solutions within the SLED vertical.
  • Familiarity with leading technology platforms and vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, NetApp, Pure, Google, Dell, and similar OEMs is highly preferred.
  • Forward-thinking, consultative sales professional with demonstrated ability to align technology solutions to mission-driven customer outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, presentation, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and travel up to 25% as required.
  • Preferred residency in the Northern California area.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $125,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a driven Client Manager to lead growth and customer success across higher education accounts in the Northern California area. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Services to execute a strategic business plan that delivers measurable outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate brings strong regional SLED relationships and a consultative selling approach, enabling them to position market-relevant technology solutions such as Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation. This position requires up to 25% travel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive WWT’s mission within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market by supporting and advancing strategic programs across Higher Education and municipal customer accounts.
  • Achieve sales and growth objectives through disciplined opportunity execution, accurate forecasting, and active participation in deal qualification and sales strategy development within the assigned territory.
  • Execute strategic account plans by aligning customer priorities with WWT solutions, monitoring competitive market dynamics, and supporting both near-term opportunities and long-term account growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales, technical, and delivery teams to develop and position business and technology solutions that expand customer value while driving profitable outcomes.
  • Engage WWT subject matter experts to design integrated, customer-focused solutions that address complex technical and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with OEMs and strategic partners to enhance solution offerings, strengthen competitive positioning, and support successful deal execution.
