A Little About Us

The Yahoo Ads Client Experience and Performance (CXP) team is dedicated to building and maintaining deep partnerships with Yahoo's most valuable clients. We serve as the operational engine for Yahoo Advertising, bridging the gap between sales strategy and technical execution to ensure our clients achieve world-class results.

About the Role

As a Client Performance Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation, management, and performance of large-scale awareness campaigns that run across Yahoo's owned and operated properties. Google Ad Manager (GAM) is the platform at the center of this role, and you'll spend your time trafficking ads, QA-ing builds, and troubleshooting delivery there day to day.

This role requires close collaboration with Yahoo's sales reps, Client Experience Leads, and clients to ensure the success of ad campaigns from inception to completion. The CP team thrives in a fast-paced work environment and excels both individually and as part of a team. Adaptability, quick learning, and an understanding of current digital advertising trends are essential.

In this role, you will manage high-value campaigns for clients, providing the expertise needed to optimize performance and protect revenue. You will take ownership of complex workstreams and serve as a go-to resource for your teammates on operational best practices across all Yahoo ad platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end operational oversight of campaign setup, trafficking, and billing in Google Ad Manager, partnering with internal entities such as Yahoo Brand Studios, Legal, and Financial Operations to ensure quality execution.

  • Oversee the creation and management of complex creative/ad builds across all platforms, ensuring technical specifications and client KPIs are met.

  • Monitor the health of high-value brand campaigns and collaborate proactively with account teams to enhance performance and troubleshoot operational issues.

  • Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in daily workflows to reduce manual tasks and accelerate campaign launch timelines.

  • Act as a key consultant for sales reps and Client Experience Leads, providing creative performance evaluations that translate data into strategic recommendations.

  • Partner with legal, billing and collections teams to resolve complex issues, ensuring seamless financial reconciliation for your book of business.

  • Utilize AI-augmented analysis to detect delivery anomalies or performance trends, suggesting proactive creative optimizations to client teams.

  • Replace repetitive reporting or administrative tasks with automated or AI-assisted workflows to focus on high-impact strategic work.

  • Lead specific project phases or team-wide workstreams, providing operational guidance and mentorship to colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital advertising operations, campaign management, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience working in Google Ad Manager — trafficking, troubleshooting, and QA — not just exposure to it.

  • Experience or strong interest in using AI productivity tools to synthesize data, improve communications, and drive operational speed.

  • Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-value projects under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal guidance, prioritizing high-impact goals and making sound judgments in ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically in a cross-functional environment involving Sales and Legal.

  • Technical proficiency with Google Workspace and macOS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building workflows or solutions with Claude, or a comparable record of putting AI tools to work in an operational role.

  • A mindset focused on AI-augmented oversight—viewing emerging tools as a way to increase impact rather than just efficiency.

  • Experience with advanced digital advertising platforms and a deep understanding of current industry trends.

  • Trafficking experience beyond GAM, or with other order management systems.

  • Previous experience in a client-facing operational role for a large-scale media company.

  • Experience supporting regulated industries such as pharma, where ad disclaimers and compliance requirements come into play.

The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.
