Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinic Physician provides comprehensive primary, preventive, chronic, and urgent care services to patients within an integrated multidisciplinary team.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services
  • Conduct physical exams and diagnostic assessments
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies
  • Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
  • Educate patients and families
  • Maintain timely EHR documentation
Team-Based Care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Participate in case conferences and panel management
  • Coordinate care with specialists and hospitals
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor
Quality Improvement
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support evidence-based practices
  • Improve patient access and care quality
QualificationsRequired
  • MD or DO
  • Active California medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Current DEA registration
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to NAHC mission
Preferred
  • Community Health Center/FQHC experience
  • Three or more years community clinic experience
  • Spanish bilingual skills
  • OCHIN EPIC EHR experience
  • Leadership experience

NAHC is a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) approved site where primary care physicians who are eligible for loan repayment funding can fulfill their service obligation.

NAHC is an Indian Health Program site for Indian Health Services (IHS) Loan Repayment Program.
