At Central Valley Specialty Hospital, we are committed to providing our patients the best care. We are currently recruiting for passionate Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team.

Qualifications: 

  • Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License, required.
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in biology or related science
  • Must demonstrate basic computer skills as required to successfully perform their job duties
  • Knowledge of basic lab testing principles
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions related to patient testing

Job Duties: 

  • Follows established procedures to perform routine and STAT clinical laboratory testing.
  • Performs all Laboratory Information system functions necessary to complete patient testing and specimen processing.
  • Participates in continuing education programs and consults current technical literature to keep abreast of changes in the field.
  • Promotes good public relations through productive and professional interaction with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdown; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
  • Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps
  • Completes projects by assisting project team; attending and participating in group and project meetings.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
