World Business Lenders provides general-purpose, short-term, real estate-collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the United States that may not have access to traditional sources of funding. 

  • WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.
  • This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Standard working hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may occasionally be required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and complete closing and funding of loans by reviewing files received from Processing for proper completion and accuracy (e.g., that necessary documents are in the file for closing) and ensuring data integrity within the loan origination system.
  • Liaise and maintain an open line of communication with various departments, including Production, Title and Underwriting.
  • Prepare/verify loan documents and mortgage to be executed by the borrower in order to fund.
  • Schedule notary appointments for mortgage execution.
  • Prepare funding packages.
  • Ensure that all loans are closed in a timely manner and that documentation is valid and accurate.
  • Obtain required documentation from the Underwriting department to satisfy conditions for closing that were part of the approval process.
  • Exchange funding documents with Title company once the loan file is closed and all necessary documents are signed and completed.
  • Ensure that all documents needed for the investor are included in the closing file.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Real Estate, or a related area.

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of valuable experience in lending, mortgage, or real estate closing environments.
  • Direct, hands-on expertise with collateral documentation and terminology for both purchase and refinance transactions, spanning commercial and residential sectors.
  • Demonstrated skill in reviewing and preparing closing documents, disclosures, funding packages, and wire instructions with precision and efficiency.

Preferred Background / Industry Experience:

  • Experience in real estate lending, mortgage banking, or title/escrow operations that drives success.
  • Deep understanding of loan documentation, lien verification, and ensuring strict closing compliance.
  • Well-versed in managing closing processes for commercial transactions and expertly coordinating with brokers.

  • Outstanding time management and organizational abilities, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional partnerships.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with internal CRMs like Monday.com and Quick Base is a plus and highly valued.
