Department Overview

The Commercial Business Intelligence & Proposal Management team drives data‑informed decisions across Sales and GTM. We build market insights, pricing/business‑case models, and proposal materials, and we’re rolling out practical AI to speed research and content creation for the Commercial org.

Position Responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll turn messy, real‑world data into crisp insights and materials the sales organization uses with customers. You’ll support market sizing and analytics, help evolve sales content and tooling, and contribute to our applied‑AI initiatives for Commercial. Expect meaningful projects, fast feedback, and executive exposure.

  • Analyze global energy market data
  • Build/iterate business‑case and TCO models used in customer proposals; stress‑test assumptions and summarize results for execs and account teams.
  • Create concise slides and one‑pagers for proposals/QBRs; transform analysis into clear sales‑ready narratives.
  • Partner with BI developers to maintain dashboards (SQL/Power BI or Tableau), ensuring sources, definitions, and refreshes are reliable.
  • Contribute to Commercial AI initiatives: test prompts, document patterns, and measure impact.
  • Manage mini‑projects end‑to‑end: define scope, agree milestones, ship artifacts, and present readouts to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong written communication—able to turn data into crisp stories for business audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment; bias to action and ownership.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau; comfort with version control and shared datasets.
  • Exposure to energy/power markets (e.g., utility tariffs, PJM/CAISO basics, EIA datasets) and TCO/LCOE style analyses.
  • Familiarity with applied‑AI tools (prompting, retrieval, evaluation) in business workflows; interest in measuring AI impact.
  • Slide development for executive and customer‑facing communications
