Commercial Enabler – US

The Opportunity

As a Commercial Enabler your focus is on US CMG.  You will lead the US Pharma Commercial OBC (outcome-based community), a diverse global team, and ensure its business impact and focus within the US network. This includes representing the eCoE on US FLT (Finance Leadership Team for US). You ensure that the US community is equipped to ensure high quality plan data, analytics and can respond to and influence along a dynamic leadership dialog.

As an eCoE Enabler you will also perform the following:

  • Be a courageous, inclusive, and servant leader with a people focus, who delivers on the Finance Ambitions by co-creating a compelling vision and architecting the journey.

  • Act as a coach and catalyst in the finance organization. Create the space for people to take smart risks by approaching their work differently and streamlining/ stopping non-value adding work.

  • Foster a learning culture that attracts, engages, and retains strong and diverse talent. Provide great development support to the team and a platform for people to jump to other opportunities in Roche.

  • Embrace your role as change agent and role model by living the Finance Mindsets and Behaviors. Build and develop the capabilities and habits of new ways of working, and architect the environment for self-aligning teams to thrive.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to empowered self-aligning networks. Support the eCoE to manage resources regarding capacity and capability to allow balanced resourcing & opportunities.

  • Commit to support your team’s development and growth both as individuals and as a team. You are also committed to your own development and rely on the team to provide you with candid feedback and keep you honest.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree is required (Finance major is preferred); Master/MBA is a big plus.

  • A minimum of 8+ years of direct related experience.

  • At least 3+ years of proven managerial experience leading/managing teams.

  • You display strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels and to position ideas and manage expectations of various stakeholders.

  • You think out of the box, strategically beyond the immediate future and are well versed in coaching and relationship-building in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager in commercial affiliates (Pharma or DIA) is a big plus.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Roche divisions, understanding of Pharma units is beneficial for the role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $161,000 - $299,000.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
