We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Assistant to join our Commercial Lines team. In this role, you will serve as a critical support pillar for our Account Managers and Agents, ensuring the smooth daily maintenance of existing business. This is an ideal role for an insurance professional who excels at administrative precision and thrives in a fast-paced, independent agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Maintenance: Assist Account Managers with daily processing tasks, including issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), processing endorsements, and handling evidence of property.
- Documentation & Filing: Manage the intake and organization of policy documents, ensuring all client files are updated accurately within the Agency Management System (AMS).
- Renewal Support: Help prepare renewal applications and gather necessary data to assist Agents in the marketing of existing accounts.
- Client Service Support: Provide high-level administrative assistance to ensure client inquiries and change requests are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities meet agency standards and state regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience specifically working with Commercial Lines of insurance.
- Agency Background: Experience working within an Independent Agency is highly preferred.
- Licensing: A valid California Property & Casualty (P&C) license is preferred; however, we may consider candidates currently in the process of obtaining their license.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard office software and familiarity with Agency Management Systems (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore/AMS360).
