Scale AI delivers solutions for AI labs, enterprises, and governments, and helps define the frameworks that guide how AI serves society. As Communications Manager, Corporate & Product, you will influence how Scale shows up across the industry — from company narrative and product launches to media presence and executive visibility. You’ll play a key role in strengthening Scale’s reputation and telling compelling stories about our work at the forefront of AI.

In this role, you’ll support Scale’s corporate functions as well as our GenAI, enterprise, and Safety, Evaluations, and Alignment Lab (SEAL) teams, ensuring their work is clearly communicated to external audiences. You will partner closely with the communications and social teams, product and go-to-market groups, external partners, and senior executives to execute strategies that elevate Scale’s voice in business, technology, and mainstream conversations. This position reports directly to the Head of Corporate & Product Communications.

You Will
  • Support corporate and product communications initiatives, including media relations, product announcements, research releases, executive visibility, crisis communications, and industry positioning.
  • Identify smart opportunities to insert Scale into industry conversations by developing media campaigns, strategic plans, and press materials, including Q&As, blog posts, research releases, and briefing docs that turn technical and business nuance into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with reporters and influencers across business, technology, AI research and social media.
  • Partner with teams across legal, policy, marketing, people, and product to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of multi-channel communications campaigns that strengthen Scale’s brand and product reputation.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry conversations to identify opportunities for Scale to lead and respond.
  • Help prepare executives for interviews, events, and speaking opportunities.
  • Track performance based on goals of the communications team and adjust strategies based on impact and feedback.
Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in technology communications, PR, or related fields (in-house or agency).
  • Strong understanding of the technology and/or AI industry, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear narratives.
  • Demonstrated success in new and traditional media relations, including securing coverage and managing press interactions, especially across new formats such as podcasts.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across formats (press releases, narrative docs, blog posts, speeches).
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and with senior executives.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI and its potential to transform industries and society.
