Our Newest Opportunity: 

The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting key clients ($250k+ revenue) on development and execution of effective year-round engagement and education strategies by creating year-round deliverables encouraging employers to form a stronger connection with their employees. Remote position, supporting Northern California Market.

 

The Communications Specialist reports to the Engagement Manager and is responsible for recommending and consulting on communication modes, tools and vendors that meet the unique needs, demographics, and budget of their clients. He/she implements and executes these communication plans by providing content, materials, and analysis. He/she participates in regional and national projects as requested.

The Communications Specialist has a background in Employee Benefit Communication, including but not limited to leveraging presentations, collateral materials, open enrollment strategies, and other OneDigital solutions to deploy impactful engagement and education strategies that supports growth and retention efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads internal pre-renewal Open Enrollment Strategy meetings;
  • Implements and executes communication plans by providing content, materials, and analysis;
  • Develops open enrollment timelines;
  • Development of collateral to market employee benefits to employer groups;
  • Establish and lead strategy discussions with clients for year-round engagement strategies;
  • Corresponds regularly with clients to understand their culture/brand to provide relevant communication materials and recommendations;
  • Provides utilization reporting and recommendations with the client;
  • Builds ongoing engagement calendars designed to engage their client’s workforce and enhance member wellbeing;
  • Receives excellent client feedback on the quality and value of their work;
  • Tracks strategic activities in D365.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in health & welfare benefits, communications, journalism, marketing or other related field;
  • An earned bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, wellbeing or other related field;
  • Experience with Canva and Simplebooklet;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher);
  • Proven track record of excellent client feedback on the quality and value of their work;
  • Experience with reporting and evaluating communication effectiveness;
  • Life and Heath Producers License or ability to obtain a license within 90 days of hire;
  • Wellbeing and Health Promotion background preferred.

 

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $70,000 to $80,000 per year.   

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.  We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.
