    In the United States, one in five adults experience a mental health illness and over 12 million people have thoughts of suicide. Mental health crises can be some of the most difficult times in a person’s life, and over 17 million people seeking behavioral health care experience a delay in accessing care. Willow Health is on a mission to significantly improve this experience by expanding affordable access to high-quality, evidence-based intensive behavioral health care. In order to make this mission a reality, we deliver a virtual, urgent crisis care program that provides personalized, recovery-oriented care for people experiencing behavioral health crises.

    Willow Health offers patients immediate access to evidence-based virtual crisis psychotherapy, medication management, certified peer coaching, care management, and around the clock crisis coverage, while working to connect patients to the most appropriate next level of care.

Your Role

    As the Community Engagement Manager for North Carolina, you will champion Willow Health’s mission by building robust partnerships with local behavioral health providers, hospital systems, and community organizations. Acting as the public face of our brand, you will expand access to our virtual crisis care program. This role requires a consistent in-person presence to foster these relationships and drive engagement throughout the region

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a field-based schedule (four days per week) dedicated to partner meetings, relationship management, with the remaining day focused on administrative reporting and planning

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with mental health organizations, community clinics, and hospital systems throughout North Carolina.

  • Represent Willow Health at regional events, community meetings, and conferences to increase program awareness.

  • Execute outreach strategies that engage underserved populations and community stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to streamline referral pathways and ensure a seamless patient experience.

  • Track partnership metrics and provide leadership with actionable insights to shape growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong existing network and established relationships within Johnston County 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in community outreach, business development, or public health, preferably in the healthcare or behavioral health sector.

  • Demonstrated success in managing partnerships and engaging community stakeholders.

  • Strong existing network within the North Carolina healthcare or non-profit sector.

  • Experience with CRM platforms and data tracking for engagement and growth.
