As a member of CFGI’s PMO Services Offering, you will act as an extension of our client’s team to support and manage initiatives across financial, operational, and technological lifecycles. The Consultant – PMO plays a key role in assisting with project execution, governance, and reporting to ensure visibility and successful outcomes.
 
You will assist in managing client projects, including scope documentation, budget tracking, and gathering business requirements to achieve defined objectives. This includes translating business objectives into actionable tasks, supporting stakeholder alignment, and contributing to functional and technical specifications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to drive transformation using agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. Key phases of involvement include planning, executing, testing, implementation, and deployment.
 
Success in this role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and foundational experience supporting transformation programs. As an extension of the client’s team, you will provide hands-on support, deliver value-add initiatives, and ensure timely milestones and quality outcomes.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Support clients on project lifecycle best practices, ensuring planning and execution align with objectives.
·       Assist in developing work plans with activities, resource assignments, expected outcomes, and timelines.
·       Perform tasks within defined scope to drive execution and delivery as directed.
·       Help identify when additional CFGI resources may be needed to support expanded scope.
·       Prepare and maintain timely reporting of project status to stakeholders; assist with dashboards and KPIs.
·       Document and facilitate communication with project teams and CFGI leadership.
·       Maintain a clear focus on exceptional client service and proactively support client needs.
·       Build positive working relationships with client stakeholders and team members.
·       Maintain a professional and positive attitude in all interactions.
 
Preferred Skills:

·       Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
·       Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project).
·       Ability to manage tasks independently and deliver quality outcomes.
·       Comfortable working on multiple engagements with shifting priorities and deadlines.
·       Basic knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis tools (e.g., Planful, Vena, Adaptive Insights).
·       Exposure to ERP technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
 
Qualifications and Capabilities:

·       Minimum of three years in project management, finance transformation, technology transformation, or professional services.
·       Working knowledge of finance and accounting activities through consulting or industry experience.
·       Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs and PMO engagements.
·       Strong communication, facilitation, and time management skills.
·       Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
·       Demonstrated ability to deliver tasks on time and within scope.
·       Proficient in PMO practices; identifies issues and escalates appropriately.
·       Communicates clearly; manages own workload and seeks guidance when needed.
·       Participates in firm initiatives and recruiting efforts; builds peer network.
·       Understands broad technical issues; demonstrates command of tools; attends trainings and maintains licenses.
·       Writes client correspondence; participates actively in meetings; manages own time effectively.
·       Actively participates in team collaboration; demonstrates integrity and accountability; engages in firm initiatives.
·       Maintains a network of peers; begins developing client relationships; participates in recruiting efforts.
