Consulting Manager – ERP Transformation

Excelerate LLC is a boutique consulting firm distinguished by its hands-on, collaborative approach to solving complex business challenges. We partner closely with our clients, bringing deeply experienced consultants who work in a facilitative style to deliver practical, lasting impact. Our work is grounded in four core values: humility, energy, integrity, and flexibility. These principles shape our culture, guide our work, and define the people who thrive here.

As a Consulting Manager, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and delivering large, cross-functional programs that align with clients' strategic goals. With a strong foundation in consulting and a track record of delivering results, you will own the end-to-end execution of projects—leading workstreams, shaping strategy, designing solutions, and ensuring impactful delivery. You will also be a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

-Program Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and deliver strategic enterprise programs to deliver ERP (and understanding of integrated adjacent systems, e.g. WMS, PLM, etc.) to enable automated operations, flow of critical product, costing, sourcing, order data, drive better financial outcomes, and reduce manual processes.

  • Own the full program lifecycle, from initiation through go-live and stabilization, keeping the work aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Build and communicate program roadmaps with senior leadership, with clear milestones and success metrics.

-Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, technical teams, system integrators and vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to gather insights, co-design solutions, and drive stakeholder engagement.

  • Provide regular updates on program progress, risks, and changes to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Create executive-ready presentations that make complex topics clear and actionable.

-Data-Driven Decision Support

  • Utilize BI tools to design dashboards and performance metrics that enable real-time, data-informed decision-making.

  • Conduct financial modeling, data analysis, and business case development to support strategic initiatives.

-Delivery Excellence & Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks and inefficiencies across project lifecycles, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Drive process improvements and apply lessons learned to enhance future program performance.

  • Build long-term client relationships through consistent value delivery and trusted advisory support.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of management consulting or equivalent experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformations. This includes solution deployment, vendor management, program management, and organizational change management.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP or enterprise system implementations (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

  • Apparel and/or footwear experience is a plus. Additionally, PLM system experience a plus.

  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes in fast-paced, client-facing environments, particularly within the retail industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to pull insights from complex datasets and apply creative thinking to technical and business challenges.

  • Project management expertise, including Agile and Lean methods, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to work on-site in North San Diego about once a week and in South Orange County 1–2 days a week.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
