Methods+Mastery has an immediate opening for a talented, experienced Tech Media Senior Account Executive who will partner with the account leads to secure both ongoing and news coverage supporting one of our Fortune 50 clients and our rapidly-growing integrated marketing and communications offerings. The Tech Media Executor will support one of the agency’s largest and fastest growing accounts. This role requires strong proactive media skills and a mastery of the consumer tech media landscape. Clear writing and communication skills are also key - this role includes drafting tactical plans for product news moments such as announcements of new features and software updates, along with proactive pitches. Positions are available in Texas, California, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, D.C. This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid set-up with work from home and work from office flexibility.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $62,160 - $85,500.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with account leads to secure proactive and announcement-led news coverage for the client
  • Bring new pitch ideas to the team 
  • Support the client with your understanding of the consumer tech media landscape
  • Draft tactical plans for product news moments such as announcements of new features and software updates as well as relevant awards submissions
Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • 4-6 years of experience in PR for consumer brands
  • A love for media and the consumer tech industry
  • ​​Experience managing product reviews 
  • Must possess strong media relation skills
  • Existing relationships with consumer tech reporters is preferred
  • A go getter mindset & attitude - not afraid to secure new media contacts & relationships
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Experience working with and having relationships with tier 1 media outlets
  • Collaborative attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive and excel in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work cross functionally across different teams throughout the agency
