Who We Are

International Justice Mission (IJM) is the global leader in protecting vulnerable people from violence around the world. Our team of over 1,200 professionals are at work worldwide in over 30 offices. Together we are on a mission to rescue millions, protect half a billion, and make justice unstoppable.

We are a global community that cares for one another. We believe that the way we work is as important as the results we achieve. We provide professional excellence with joy and celebration to all those we serve.

The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Content Creation Manager, US Strategic Partnerships to lead the creation of high-quality donor materials for mid, major and principal donors within U.S. Strategic Partnerships. In addition to donor-specific execution, this role leads the content and messaging strategy for all core fundraising assets used across Mid-Level, Major, and Principal donor strategies and portfolios. In close partnership with Global Marketing, Global Resources, Campaign, and Strategic Partnerships Marketing & Enablement, this position ensures donor-facing materials are clear, compelling, strategically aligned, and effective across key audiences.

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to Director of Marketing Enablement, U.S. Strategic Partnerships and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

  • Ensure all materials are tailored to donor intent, stage, and strategic engagement goals;

  • Establish and uphold standards for narrative clarity, structure, and donor relevance;

  • Apply Global Communications fundraising assets and content frameworks to donor materials and broader donor campaigns; and

  • Provide structured feedback upstream to Global Communications to strengthen asset clarity, usability, and effectiveness based on donor-facing application.

Strategic Partnership with Global Revenue Resources

  • Partner closely with Global Revenue Resources as a primary source of programmatic, financial, and strategic content that informs donor-facing materials;

  • Collaborate to identify and prioritize the proposals, reports, offers, and funding opportunities most relevant to Mid-Level, Major, and Principal donor strategies;

  • Translate programmatic insights, financial data, cost equivalencies, Impact Investment Opportunities, and future product information into clear, compelling donor-facing narratives;

  • Ensure all donor materials accurately reflect program progress, outcomes, strategic priorities, and approved source content;

  • Help create a strong feedback loop between donor engagement needs and future product or proposal development opportunities; and

  • Maintain ongoing alignment between donor-facing strategy and enterprise-wide funding priorities.

Donor Lifecycle Application

  • Apply the shared Philanthropy donor lifecycle framework across Mid-Level, Major, and Principal donor strategies and portfolios;

  • Ensure content, campaigns, and donor materials align to donor stage, engagement strategy, relationship progression, and fundraising priorities;

  • Partner with Senior Philanthropy Officers, Partner Engagement Officers, and internal stakeholders to tailor messaging and materials based on donor intent, readiness, and next best action;

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen donor movement through the pipeline by aligning content strategy to key moments of cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, retention, and upgrade; and

  • Help create greater consistency across donor journeys while allowing for personalization where relationship strategy requires it.

Content Quality & Workflow Management

  • Own the production process for proposals, reports, campaign materials, and key donor communications;

  • Establish clear workflows, timelines, and quality control standards across all donor-facing materials;

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, strategic alignment, and excellence across all outputs;
