Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 3 months contract with potential to extend (Start ideally in mid July 2026)
Work set up: Remote

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Content Marketing Lead to shape a global content marketing and publishing program for the Financial Services business. This role will work closely with industry professionals, subject matter experts, and marketing teams to develop insightful articles, points of view, reports, and client stories in collaboration with writers and designers. Acting as an editor-in-chief, the role will support brand alignment, content planning, creation (with a strong focus on narrative and editing), publishing (print and digital), and content operations. A strong understanding of financial services, technology, and storytelling is essential to ensure marketing content is aligned with business objectives and executed effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as editor and publisher for financial services industry content targeting business and technology leaders of global financial institutions.
  • Define key content assets and team roles for writing, editing, and publishing.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, marketing, and digital leads to build an editorial calendar aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and manage a network of writers with expertise in banking, capital markets, insurance, and asset management.
  • Supervise a content operations manager and designers while actively contributing to content creation and editing.
  • Develop and maintain an annual editorial plan and thematic content calendar aligned with strategic deliverables.
  • Ensure consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment across all content outputs.
  • Analyze content performance and optimize messaging to improve engagement and impact.
  • Support localization of global content in alignment with regional and country marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute the broader content marketing strategy.
  • Leverage traditional and digital content formats to enhance audience engagement and communication effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in editorial, communications, or content marketing roles with progressive responsibility.
  • Strong background in content marketing with demonstrated ability to engage business audiences through strategic storytelling.
  • Experience working directly with subject matter experts from concept development through to final publication.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling narratives, campaigns, and content that highlight trends, outcomes, and client success stories.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, relationship-driven approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Global mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
