Content Marketing Manager at Handoff
We're hiring a Content Marketing Manager to build and own our content strategy from the ground up—creating a repeatable playbook that drives growth through SEO, high-quality storytelling, and cross-channel distribution. In this role, you'll define how content contributes to acquisition, shape our messaging, and ensure everything we publish is both high-impact and scalable.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong copywriting skills with strategic thinking, someone who has not only created content, but has built systems and playbooks that consistently generate results. You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership end-to-end, and are excited to turn content into a core growth engine.
What you'll do
- Build and own Handoff’s content strategy, from ideation to execution and performance tracking.
- Develop a repeatable content playbook that drives scalable growth across SEO and other channels.
- Lead SEO strategy, including keyword research, topic clustering, and optimization frameworks.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to translate real user insights into content.
- Create and adapt content across blog, website, email (lifecycle), and social—tailoring messaging and format to each channel and audience.
- Collaborate with designers and video producers to integrate visual formats into the content mix, ensuring written and visual content reinforce each other.
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting to measure content performance and inform decisions.
- Review and elevate content quality across all outputs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact.
- Run structured experiments across content formats, channels, and messaging to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with content marketers and external contributors to scale production effectively.
- Continuously refine strategy based on performance data, market trends, and company priorities.
About you
- 5–7+ years of experience in content marketing or content strategy roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or high-growth startups.
- Proven track record of building and scaling content strategies or playbooks that drive measurable growth.
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to produce and evaluate high-quality written content.
- Hands-on experience creating and adapting content across multiple channels—blog, website, email (lifecycle), and social—with a clear sense of how to tailor messaging for each format.
- Comfortable collaborating on visual formats like video and graphics—you don't need to produce them independently, but you understand how they complement written content and can direct that work effectively.
- Deep understanding of SEO, including keyword research, clustering, and tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, or customer-facing teams.
- Highly structured thinker with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear frameworks and plans.
- Data-driven mindset, comfortable using metrics to guide decisions and iterate on strategy.
- High ownership and bias toward action in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Bonus: Experience writing for contractors, trades, construction, or other blue-collar audiences.
- Bonus: Exposure to product marketing, storytelling, or technical product education
