 Job Description

As a member of the Corporate Marketing team, the Content Specialist will play a central role in crafting compelling content that supports Renaissance’s brand, thought leadership, and solution marketing initiatives. This role requires a versatile writer who can produce both long-form and short-form content in a variety of formats that appeal to pre-K–12 educators and leaders—eBooks, infographics, emails, landing pages, blog posts, newsletter stories, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with Renaissance thought leaders, product specialists, and cross-functional teams to develop content that informs, engages, and drives action throughout the customer journey.

In this role as a Content Specialist III, you will:

  • Plan, write, edit, and iterate on long-form and short-form content to support integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts—such as thought leaders, product specialists, and researchers—to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
  • Partner with product marketing, brand, and creative teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment across channels.
  • Contribute to content strategy and editorial planning by identifying opportunities for storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Use performance data and feedback to refine content and improve engagement across platforms.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, educational topics, and audience preferences to inform content development.

For this role as a Content Specialist III, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience writing for pre-K–12 education audiences.
  • A proven ability to write and edit both long- and short-form content across multiple formats—and to translate technical or research-based information into accessible, audience-friendly language.
  • Experience with conversion copywriting, SEO/AEO best practices, and content performance metrics.
  • Excellent command of grammar, style, and tone; familiarity with standard style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago).
  • Experience using content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working with both internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a remote, cross-functional team setting.
  • A portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples across different formats and tones.

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with educational theory, pedagogical best practices, and Multi-Tier System of Support/Response to Intervention frameworks.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.  #LI-Remote
